A tool I found works wonders on pulling control arms down with a prybar is OTC tool #6007. It's like $20 on Amazon. Very simple tool but provides a solid way to pry on virtually any lower control arm.

^^ This. Im an auto technician and my experience is this: Most of the time, smaller fasteners tend to be crammed into smaller areas, hence the use for a stubby 3/8" impact gun. Usually when I encounter larger sized nuts and bolts tightened to the point that I need a 1/2" impact, those fasteners...

I used to have both SAE and metric sockets and wrenches in my toolbox, but I realized SAE stuff was just taking up space so I brought it all home. I work on late model vehicles of the following brands: ford, gm, chrysler, nissan, toyota, hyundai, and kia. Never ran across anything SAE.

This. I picked up the new Milwaukee mid torque 1/2 inch impact, and its been great. Zips lug nuts off and on easily. The tool is not much bigger than a 1/4 inch hex impact yet has 600 ft lbs in reverse, 450 ft lbs fastening torque according to Milwaukee. Part # for the kit with charger and two...
