    Opinions on floor drains

Couple other thoughts, if you don't keep water in the traps, they could let in sewer gas and make the space smell lovely. Now if you could find a drain that had a cover that screwed on nice and flush, that might be good. But you'd still have to pitch towards it. I like the trench drain at the...

2-post or 4-post lift for my projects? No, both isn't an option

I was thinking that very thing as I was typing my post. I've done bases before for steel columns in buildings, but it takes some work to get it all hung right all while your concrete is curing and is more work than necessary. You're right, it's probably easier to drill and anchor them.

2-post or 4-post lift for my projects? No, both isn't an option

Appreciate all the input. I think I am leaning towards a 2-post with the crossover chain above (good point!). If I am storing, I may get 4 of those tall jacks and put them under the suspension points and lower it until it is compressed somewhat, but still fully bearing on the lift points...

2-post or 4-post lift for my projects? No, both isn't an option

2-post or 4-post lift for my projects? No, both isn't an option

How accessible is the underside of the car on a 4-post lift? I was looking at rotisserie's to work on a corvair I just brought home but $1000+ for a rotisserie when I ultimately want a lift too, seems the $2k lift makes more sense to buy first. But I know I have some rocker work and floor pan...

    New Construction-flooring problem.

find a new/better engineer. 1-1/2 concrete isn't thick enough even as a topping slab on top of concrete unless it is lightweight fill, even then it is iffy. That 2x10 plywood deck is gonna flex and crack the concrete. Agree with the other poster, use corrugated steel deck but have another...
