    Ludell small horizontal bandsaw problems

I didnt get a chance to mess around with it yesterday. Life got in the way. The motor did lock up, which makes me a little concerned because I dont feel like buying a new one. Itll never stall while cutting flat stock, even on an angle like it does. This was the first time I tried cutting tube...

    Ludell small horizontal bandsaw problems

Hi all. I purchased this bandsaw (see picture) off craigslist and I havent been able to get it to cut straight since day one. I cant figure it out for the life of me. Ive messed with the blade tension, the blade guides, the spring tension, changed the blade...I cant figure it out. Does anyone...

    Air Compressor question

I usually open the drain at the top and the ball valve together. I will try opening the top until it closes then opening the bottom. Thanks! I thought about getting a bigger ball valve, I just never have because home depot over here doesnt have much in the way of conversion sizes, so I would...

    Air Compressor question

Just finally got around to hooking up my Cambell Hausfeld 60 gallon compressor. I also put on their ball valve drain kit. I know compressed air gets hot in the act of compressing it. When I go to drain the compressor using the ball valve, the air/moisture will freeze and stop the draining...

    Concrete floor is stupid smooth

Re: Concrete floor is stupid smoothe Thanks for the reply freedom. I want to rough up the concrete a little not only because of the ramps but also because eventually someone walking in on a rainy day will fall. I almost have a bunch of times already. Thats a good idea for the ramps though...

    Concrete floor is stupid smooth

Re: Concrete floor is stupid smoothe I actually saw a thread on here about a kid who built a performance garage from the ground up and he used some kind of acid and gave it a cool rusty looking finish. Would muriatic acid do that? I think it does bead up, I will check later tonight...

    What to lube vice with?

Hey all. I just got a new to me Wilton vise. It has most likely never been greased or anything so I wanted to pull it apart and lube the screw. Any kind of special grease? Or will just regular white lithium grease suffice? Thank you in advance.

How much should this cost? And how much time should it take?

I think i decided that I dont want to mess with getting the hubs turned down to fit. Even though the wheels are lug centric the hub does provide an extra support for the wheel to take stress off the studs. Im most likely overly paranoid but I feel like eventually something would break, even...

How much should this cost? And how much time should it take?

I thought about turning down the hubs and even though the wheels are lug centric, the hub helps take the load off of the studs and I dont want to have problems in the future if a wheel bearing goes, plus who knows if itll cause vibrations due to the wheel not sitting on anything. I thank you...

How much should this cost? And how much time should it take?

rsanter, heres a picture of the hub. I dont know if cutting it down 1.5mm on either side is an option. What do you think? I am far from an expert

How much should this cost? And how much time should it take?

I am in Dutchess county NY I am in NY, I am currently looking for a hobby machinist or the like to try and get this done. I thought about that, I dont know if there is enough material on the hub to get them turned down. I am doing a brake conversion on my 2000 Camaro which requires 2010...

How much should this cost? And how much time should it take?

Hey all I have a pair of rotors where I need the hub bore opened up from 67.8mm to 70.6mm. I was originally going to do it myself by making a jig using old rotors and bolting the rotor down and using a 70mm hole saw or possibly a cylinder hone. Everyone I talked to said they wouldnt mess with it...

    Aluminum ball shift knob

hahaha everyone says im crazy cause itll be so hot in the summer. I had one on my last car (smaller diameter) and it never really bothered me too much. I mean it was hot but nothing unbearable, at least for me...maybe im just numb to heat? I do weld a lot too.
