Attended three estate sales on Friday and did right well.
Columbian vise is a 3 1/2 inch swivel.
Reed vise is a 4 1/2 inch
These are big boys and very heavy. Best part $75 total for both.
Yes on the fancy script Indestro. The L shaped sockets are clearly Wakefield. Thanks for the information. I'm not an old tool collector, just a picker that likes old stuff. The tool box was just too cool.
If the valve lifter is what I think it is, marked Indestro.
The L shaped socket wrenches are different sizes. There are only two wrenches. Were probably part of a set. Marked Wakefield made in Worcester. Pat. Dec 31 1918.
The straight sockets are unmarked
The hub wrench is unmarked
I've attached...
Appears to be hand made and very old, full of old tools. One of the wrenches is dated 1922. Several are Ford tools. Just could not resist bringing it home
Found these at a garage sale for $20. Handmade by a union sheet metal worker in the 50's. Although galvanized, they had been painted. I threw on some new paint and sold them yesterday for $125. Love to save this old stuff.
Nice work. I've had VCT, like yours for 20 years and I keep it well waxed. Hot tires on VCT will turn them brown. As mentioned before, put down some black rubber mat to avoid this issue. Thanks for your post and good luck.
I should have asked $300, but it went to a friend for his airplane hanger. I'll get to fly around with him this fall, so worth it.
The good part---bought it at a garage sale for $40. It was very dirty. Did a bit of wet sanding and shot it with clear coat.
