Do we have a favorite grease gun?

Same for me. Very happy with it. Pistol grip too. I also have a M12 I use on the skid steer and it’s 24 zerks. That’s just too much for manual pumping!

    Wheel alignment plate

Just use a piece of angle I assume you have or can find for free...it works very well for a seldom driven vehicle

Milwaukee Impact Driver & Socket Adapters

You need a 3/8 impact. You control the speed with your finger, and they have settings to limit the maximum torque. You say you are "checking tightness of nuts and bolts"....I would want a hand-held ratchet for that.

What does everyone call Penetrating Fluid around the shop?

I call it ‘piss’ Unless it’s an important bolt/part, in which case I bring out the Kroil. Kroil is not to be confused with piss.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Fired up the plasma cutter and cut out a 55-gal drum for a new burn barrel. Also used it to put a bevel on some 3.5" dia. 1/4" thick pipe to prepare it for welding. Pulled out the headache rack project for my truck and worked on it some more. Had to cut out a crossbar that blocked the 3rd...

    plasma cutter vs. Oxy-Acetylene torch

I torched off the rear two body bolts on a 1978 Bronco with no damage to the body. The nuts underneath were above the gas tank, so I wasn't about to take off the bumper, hitch, and drop the tank on a 35 year old truck at the time. I was pretty inexperienced as well...and didn't even have the...

    GearWrench ratchets - 90T or 120XP?

I have both and use them a lot. Both are equal to me...not a huge difference. If you work in small, confined areas, then lean towards the 120 as the few extra teeth might be noticeable for you.

    welding bottle date

Jack Ryan's profile says he is in Australia...so yeah, I have no doubt they do things differently down there. Here in my area of VA, Airgas or Arcet will swap owned tanks no problem...date doesn't matter. However, Airgas won't touch any tank larger than a 125cu-ft without you leasing it from...

    plasma cutter vs. Oxy-Acetylene torch

This! You can nearly cut your costs in half with oxy/propane. You'll need an oxygen tank, but you can use any 20# BBQ grill tank for the fuel source. The only 'special' equipment you will need for propane over acetylene is the torch tips. They are different between the two. I have an...

Found A Deal On Facebook Marketplace? Post It Here

Wow! Check out this welding table. The top looks to be a 2" plate, on top of a 1" plate. A truly massive 4'x8' welding table. At minimum, this thing weights 4500lbs. An absolute STEAL at $750! I would go get this tomorrow, but even my skid steer won't lift this one...
