    Show us your arbor press!

That’s a nice looking press Doug. I picked up a Famco 3 1/2C a little over a year ago also. I have not cleaned mine up either, but honestly I don’t think I am going to. I love the patina, it feels like it somewhat tells the story of its many years of service.

Nice score Hoorn. If that is original pain it looks fantastic, and the stand makes that a beautiful setup. The shields look really clear also, so many times I see yellow shields.

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Drives: I see you found you a military cabinet! I wonder if that cabinet didn’t have a butcher block at one time? Seems like I have seen similar ones with a top. That cabinet is pretty close to the 41-C-15 that I have. Looks the drawers on your cabinet are a little bit bigger because they take...

Drives: The cabinet is holding up great! Yes it is pretty much filled up. I love the large top drawer, it’s a great place to store my large piece of marble slab that I use for a flat surface to sharpen plane irons and flatten plane soles. Here is a pic, you might say I have a bit of a Dazor...

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Drives: I have not tried this myself, but I have read several post about oven cleaner stripping away old paint but leaving behind original paint if the original paint was a more durable say baked on finish. I have to agree those would look great with the original army green.

Bugeyed Earl: Those are some great looking cabinets. I kno what you mean when you say “I should got more when I had the chance”. Most of us have been there! I spied a Dazor Lamp in your photo. Is that green an original color? I have guide a few Dazor lamps, but I have never seen one in that...

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Man I would say you found a gem there. With that belt cover and a table lift you have some very hard to find items. I am Jealous, I have a similar model without the lift and cover.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I believe that is a Columbian made vise. Check the serial if it starts with 506 that is the prefix for Columbian made in USA. I have the 391.5195 which was made in Japan but certainly looks like the same mold. I am not sure if the 391.5195 was still Columbian. Here is mine. The original color...
