Would You? 10hp Compressor 3 Phase

If it's a 707 pump, it can either be run by a 10HP or a 7.5HP (at lower RPM). A single phase 7.5 would probably be easier/cheaper to come by. But yeah, absolutely pick it up at that price. Mine was around $5100 when I bought it.

    Matco Tools must haves?

Their 1/2" and 3/8" extensions are really good I like their 88 tooth ratchets although my 1/4" one reverses on itself a lot I like the markings on their socket sets, very easy to read, but I don't think the actual sockets are any better than snapon, mac, etc.

    Lincoln Invertec V-160-S Welder

I found a unit like that for sale in an old forum post on weldingweb, $500. I'd say you did ok. Fleetweld is good stuff, 5/32" is a beefy rod (that's what she said) though. You might get some 1/8 7018 to practice with like someone else said. It's much more satisfying to practice with 7018 cos...

    Aftermarket oil for Quincy QT-54 5-HP 60-Gallon Two-Stage Air Compressor ?

Not sure how much the quincy oil is, but Amsoil has a good grade for Florida: https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/compressor-oil/synthetic-compressor-oil-iso-100-sae-30-40/

    Powder coat fumes

From my experience coating aluminum, there's practically no fumes in either the spraying or curing process. Now the etching process, that's some nasty ****.

    Automated purge for air compressor

Simply put, my time is worth way more to me than the $90 it cost me to build something to do it for me. I had definitely considered doing it myself every month before I posted the thread

Welders: How can I stiffen this shelving?

It's mild steel, it's going to flex. Short of moving the supports that are in the middle currently further towards the outside or using thicker walled tubing there isn't much you're going to be able to do to stop it from flexing. Just make sure your welds fuse well and there's nothing to worry...

    Automated purge for air compressor

It's used daily, just not in big enough quantities to warrant it running more than once or twice a day. It's a huge air compressor (120 gal, 7.5 hp, v4 pump) and it just doesn't run enough to get hot anymore. When I first bought it I did a lot of aluminum fabrication where running air grinders...

    Automated purge for air compressor

Thanks for the reply! I actually saw this before I made my thread, and while it's basically the same principle of what I want, I don't think it's exactly perfect because it can only open its valve for a maximum of 10 seconds at 45 minute intervals. Basically something like what you posted...

    Automated purge for air compressor

Hi Guys, I have an air compressor in an installation where it doesn't run very often and it tends to get a lot of water in the oil. It's a large compressor (7.5 hp, 120 gallons) and when I bought it I used a lot of air but right now it barely ever runs except to compensate for air loss in the...

    Compressed Air Plumbing Question

Hi, I'm trying to connect an air compressor to some compressed air line using a flexible jump hose. The problem is none of the fittings on the jump hose rotate and I obviously can't rotate the compressor or the lines so when I tighten the hose it's trying to bend :headscrat How are you guys...

    1/2" rapid air kit

I did the maxline kit, works great once you get it all set up. One word of advice, put teflon tape and teflon paste on the threads or you'll be chasing down leaks forever. Coming from experience.

Merlin, check out the RapidAir Maxline system. http://www.rapidairproducts.com/page/maxline FYI, for those wondering what size tubing they need, this is a good calculator: http://preview.rapidairproducts.com/page/flow-rate-calculator According to that, you can get 23 CFM at the end of 100'...
