Surge protector for air handler with electric heat strip

Thanks for the recommendation. The AC technician was here yesterday and recommended the X13. When I looked it up, it is designed to plug directly into the ECM motor thus not protecting everything in the AH. Not sure what the price would have been to install but figured it would be $$...

Surge protector for air handler with electric heat strip

The X-13 directly connects directly to the ECM motor and only protects the motor. I'd like to protect the entire system - motor, other circuit boards and thermostat.

Surge protector for air handler with electric heat strip

I have the meter surge suppressor supplied by my electric utility. I also have the Siemens FS140 on the breaker panel and the Intermatic Compressor Defender on the HVAC condensing unit. I'd like to add a surge protector on the air handler with heat strip which means it is 240v. The air...

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

Oh, as suggested I did remove it from the reel and put it in my vise before heating it.

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

Well, that worked perfectly. I've never done anything quite like this before. Took longer to get my tools than it did to heat it up and tighten it that 1/8 turn or so. Thanks everyone!!

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

Yes. I was thinking about it all wrong. But at that angle the hose will stick out pretty far.

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

I haven't received the whip yet but I think with the fitting on the whip (2 or 3 inches long) and then the curve of the hose will cause it to hit the handle every revolution. Seems like it should have been either parallel to reel or slightly turned in.

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

Duh! Didn't think about removing it. Just an e-clip holding it. I took a magnifying glass and it does look like some red thread locker around the bottom of the elbow. Now for the heat source, I don't have a torch but I do have a heat gun. Would that get hot enough?

Straighten or remove this elbow on a pressure washer reel

This was factory installed. I can't see any type of thread locker on it. I tried holding the brass part with a pipe wrench and using a wrench to tighten to make it parallel with the side of the reel. I also tried to unscrew it. Both without success. I do not have any way to heat the joint...

Storage reel for pressure washer hose?

I found an actual pressure washer hose reel on marketplace for $100. There was another one in worse shape for $180. I think retail new was about $225 so I thought it was worth it. It has surface rust on the stand but the reel doesn't have any. I'm going to clean it up with a wire brush and...

Storage reel for pressure washer hose?

I don't have access to any scrap nor a welder. Sold mine before we downsized.

Storage reel for pressure washer hose?

I was hoping for an out of the box suggestion on a reel. I checked Marketplace in my area and only plastic garden hose reels or used/worn out pressure washer hose reels for almost the price of new. I'll keep looking. Maybe someone else will chime it.

Storage reel for pressure washer hose?

I'd like to find a storage reel for 100 ft of 0.75 OD pressure washer hose. Really would just like a reel with a stand without any pressure washer connections. I use the 100 footer a couple times a year. A 50 ft is used most of the time. Something that looks like this would be great...

Go get a boroscope camera if you don't already have one

Got the DEPSTECH Dual Lens Industrial Endoscope today. Just playing with it, the images it provides are great. Going to use it to scope a drain line hopefully tomorrow or Sunday when I pull a toilet.

Go get a boroscope camera if you don't already have one

I just ordered the DEPSTECH Dual Lens Industrial Endoscope after looking at the images regarding use and saw that they stated to tape a fish tape to it to in order to help move it further into the pipe. Going to give it a try.

Go get a boroscope camera if you don't already have one

Is this stiff enough to push down a sewer pipe? It probably has 1 or more 45's and maybe a 90.

What is the height between the shelves? Bottom of top lip to top of bottom lip. I need to know if I can slip something in and onto the bottom shelf. Thanks
