No but yeah it will cost a bunch regardless if grid powered or not.

    Off-grid property, need power

No way there would be hundreds of gallons a month. Septic is easy. Cistern would likely be in place to reduce pump frequency.

    Off-grid property, need power

Grid power isn't going to happen, otherwise it would already be in place. It would cost millions to get it here with roughly 30 customers of which 8-10 are full time. I would have propane as a supplemental heat source and for a water heater, clothes dryer and cooking. Generator would be diesel...

    Off-grid property, need power

Been without power for decades here. It is odd. There is grid power about 5 miles away. Powering the cabin is one thing but powering a shop is another animal since the power requirements fluctuate greatly. I would most likely sell my electric welders and buy a Miller bobcat with a wire feeder...

    Off-grid property, need power

Looking for opinions and thoughts regarding this quandary I find myself in. I have a property, small 1.4 acre lot in western Montana. It is in a subdivision however there is no local power company servicing the area. Wife and I are mulling the idea of building a modest cabin and a shop on the...

Mechanics problem solved with sacrificial wrench

Hydraulic lines on valves are the worst. Many times crow foot sockets won't either fit, tighten or loosen without spreading open and slipping. Hate it when you have to take all the outer lines off to get to the middle ones. My wife asks why do you have so many wrenches? Lol.

    Nord-Lock Wedge-Locking Washers

These are fantastic. I use 5/8 and 3/4 regularly. I get them at Zoro in boxes of 100 pairs. Cheapest place I have found them. They are very expensive to purchase 5 pairs at a time. I have only used them with socket cap screws, since that is what my forestry mulcher uses.

S70 Bobcat Purchase? Pros & Cons

Very small unit but will work circles around a small utility tractor. I belive these use the same attachments as the walk behind/ride on skid steers from bobcat. I don't think they have the traditional universal quick attach but adapters should be available.

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3" Compact Cut Off Tool

I'm contemplating buying one for a project and using it to score .125 steel sheet for bending. The clip on shoe is what really intrigued me. Any thoughts as to the mostly plastic shoe holding up to hot sparks and grit?

    3/4" drive impact gun

I have a large 1/2" milwaukee and the 3/4" milwaukee they are comparable in my opinion. I run them with 9.0 batteries. I recently purchased the small pistol grip 1" milwaukee for what the 3/4" couldnt do and now I can tackle 90% of anything I will ever need to work on which is small to moderate...
