    Re: Quick and Cheap Garage Door Insulation nice fix. am going to try the foam panel on my doors to see how much "warmer" my garage will be in the dead of a midwestern winter before i spend the bucks on an insulated garage door. i have a feeling they are insulated the same way.

    i would think most any truck supply/truck stop might have them. they hold up well in the wind, rain, snow and sun. i mean, if they can withstand 70 mph winds while covering product for 3 to 5 days, they should be pretty sturdy.

    what about getting a basement floor jack, like what they use in older houses to support the weight of the floor above, and then just box around it. no holes in either garage floor or ceiling, and since its made of wood, you can add all the little cat perches you want. simple and uncomplicated.

    i think what he means is measure out 3 feet on one wall, 4 feet on the other, adjoining wall and draw a line where the 3 and 4 foot measurements stop and it should read 5 ft. same thing applies for the 6,8 10 measurement.
