Our work rents Skyjacks from small to large from 3219s to 9250s, the small ones seem to have issues with the operator control boxes 3219s to 4626s, the bigger ones with the ford engines seem to run like complete **** sputtering and choking and farting cause they are carbed and you can never set...

    Tool truck stories

Right now at work we have a Matco dealer. When I started at my current place of work he almost didn't show up at all then decided he would come again. He seems nice and friendly. What I don't like about him, he's never consistent about showing up every week. When you order something he says it...

    Pressure washer questions...

the seals in the pump will melt if you use water that is too hot, check your manual that came with your unit. your best to use water that is no hotter then luke warm, the water going thru your pump acts as a coolant as well. The soap nozzle will give you better control when soaping up things...

What to do when a tool goes missing?

All i can say is make sure your tools are put away and your box is locked before you leave at night. unless your tools are engraved or have something that clearly marks who they are owned by I think your SOL. Be lucky its an air ratchet and not your whole box.

shop insurance ( for techs tools )

thats truly disgraceful screwing the employees out of their insurance money for their boxes and tools. In some cases it can be enough to ruin a person financially. If I was a tool dealer and knew this id refuse to do any business with that person and tell any prospective dealers to stay away...

New Here. A Question of Garage Ethics.

What the other have said, start off with a craftsman or whatever is in your budget and build on that. Keep your toolbox locked (had to in my last place of work) and if somebody asks to borrow the answer is no. Don't borrow any tools this will save you from many hassles.
