    Lowe's Clearance Thread 2015

I saw several of the chargers for $29 but none of the other stuff. I went there for the Lincoln torch kit and got all excited when I saw one tagged for $129. Took it to the register and it rang up for $299 because I had the wrong one. DOH!

25% off all Gladiator Cabinets today at Lowes!!

Just looked and its not much of a sale. They are only discounting some of the cabinets, probably the slowest movers. I'll wait until they discontinue these and sell at half cost or less.

The new garage for the M3 family

Wow I REALLY need to stop hanging out here. Now I realize how much a lift would ease cleaning my cars lol. Awesome setup by the way, I imagine the greatest value is being able to spend time with your family and friends.

    Air or Electric

I bought an electric one from HF for $50. No problems when rotating tires, suspension and brake work etc. I also have a pneumatic one but its still new in the box, too much trouble to fire up the compressor and hook the hose up I guess.

tekton or harbor freight impact sockets

I have the HF sockets and they work great for the money. The Tekton set costs about twice as much but does include one more socket and a cute box to store them.

    Antique Store

After 20+ years of searching antique stores about the only decent buy I have ever encountered are iron cornbread molds which I use to pour lead ingots for reloading.

    New from Maryland!

Hey guys, I've been hanging out here a few weeks and thought I'd finally say hi! I'm a Kentucky native but moved to Maryland a few years ago for work. When we bought the house, my wife had a list of requirements while I only had one: a two-car garage for her vehicle as well as my 1968 Mustang...

How did you learn your trade?

That sort of happened to me. Forced into college by my parents then dropped out after a few years to pursue being an electrician instead, trade school etc. The funny thing is I eventually realized I didn't like working in the cold or with some of the people I was exposed to so wound up going...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

Chicago Electric 1/2 in. Heavy Duty Electric Impact Wrench #68099. I've had this a few months and used it several times when changing tires and when I did the suspension on my car. Pros: ample power for the jobs I've used it for. Electric powered so I don't need to fire up the compressor...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I finally unboxed my new Race Ramps service ramps, wheel cribs and wheel chocks. These were purchased from two different vendors and came in several large boxes as shown. These are custom 2-piece ramps which measure 12" tall x 14" wide so give a bit more clearance than the standard 10"...

Dads Dental School Kennedy, how to proceed?

That's pretty cool. When I was in dental school we used the plastic Plano boxes. I bet this would have been heavy lugging around.
