Those are actually pretty solid work positioners. They were made for the lighter vises but it could be adapted to your needs. You would have to make a top plate to fit but it’s doable.

Unfortunately I don’t have a swivel base for sale and they’re not easy to find. There’s one on eBay but it’s already at a ridiculously high price. My Pat Pend models don’t have date stamps so I would put them in the 1942-1944 range. You might have an easier time trying to find a powerarm jr for...

I really like that setup. The C2’s make great all around users, they can handle just about anything. Those C3’s are crazy big and are fun to use, they also look badass on the bench.

Thanks Patrick. I enjoyed hunting them down over the years but they’re getting harder and harder to find at reasonable prices these days.

Thanks I really enjoy collecting the smaller models. I do collect the larger ones as well. These are my larger Wilton vises that I’m preserving for future generations to use and enjoy.

I saw the pics you posted the other day, very impressive. You have an awesome collection. These are my Wilton toddlers.

The very early baby bullets had the outer ring with the flat bar at the bottom. After that they went to a one piece base with the center pin. Then the outer ring with the center ring was the final design.

The early baby bullets came with a groove that the base would track on. I have around a dozen with this feature. Here‘s a Pat Pend model with the groove. The swivel locks threaded into a flat bar and it actually held pretty well.

You’re baby bullet came with the groove around the base from the factory, it hasn’t been altered

The outside edge of his baby bullet was not altered, that’s how it came from the factory.

These are my Wilton baby bullets, I’ve added quite a few since this picture was taken but you get the idea. I collect toddlers as well but they are on a different bench. i take a lot of pride in these, they weren’t easy to hunt down.

Prices have gone crazy on these and I’m in the same boat, they’re getting harder and harder to afford. I’ll post a pic of mine from last year, they’re all in as found condition.

Thanks for the reply, I was just curious. You have an awesome collection of toddlers, baby bullets and PowerArms. I collect them as well but I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. I’m all about original paint and stickers. To each his own, whatever makes us happy I guess.

Don’t take this the wrong way but I’m just curious why you would feel the need to paint the vises and especially the PowerArms?

Here’s something you don’t see every day…This is a Prentiss vise print block that’s expertly carved out of wood. The attention to detail is amazing and and it’s getting plenty of stare time from me right now. These were used in print ads and I did a reverse image so you can see the final...

I‘m 100% certain that the vise is a 600 with 6” jaws. The design elements tell the tale.

Vintage Prentiss Vise catalog - I finally scanned it.

Thanks for scanning the catalog and posting the images. These old catalogs rarely come up and they’re always a treat to look at. I purchased a reproduction of an earlier prentiss catalog and then found an original one a few weeks later. The cover is a bit worn but the pages inside are perfect.

I found a nice chocolate Reed 208R just in time for Valentine’s Day. The vise has 8” jaws and weighs in at 278lbs. I got it for $350 so that’s just over a buck a pound.

Here’s something you don’t see every day. This is a Wilton 350SJ ant it’s beautiful condition under all that blue paint. This has the third style of tapered swivel pin that Wilton did for these, you tighten the nut to extract the pin. I also believe the nuts on the swivel locks are original as...
