Well I am a tall guy so I like tall doors, but I just put up a 50x60 and used a 4' man door. I am so glad I did, getting things in and out is so much easier than a 3' door.

The primary advantage of wiring them at 220 is that it halves the current per leg which would allow either fewer circuits or smaller wire size. I'll just need to make sure that the ballasts are rated for either 110 or 220.

They are ridge vents. There is a chain hanging down from them that lets me open close them. They are pretty common on steel buildings around here but they sure do look weird. :)

I could definitely see adding a lean to on the west side. The eave height is 16' and most lean to's tend to have pretty shallow roof pitches, I think I'd be OK to add one later. How about eave extensions and overhangs? Do people find they are worthwhile on a steel building?
