Older Craftsman Toolbox Score Now I Have Lots of Questions

I’m right there with you Brian! I found this link in a GJ post from 2011, Was Lumidor the west coast craftsman manufacturer until Waterloo “acquired” them? http://www.boe.ca.gov/legal/pdf/83-sbe-041.pdf

Older Craftsman Toolbox Score Now I Have Lots of Questions

Nice score Jell, should be a stamp behind the badge inside the drawer. Unless these are pre AMDCo. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Shelby I think it’s MBC. The fold over drawer pulls have an extra “tab” of metal underneath which is not there on any Snap On I’ve seen. Top pic is Snap on.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Good news: found a 3 drawer mid-box Bad news: it’s not gray/red Worse news: it’s missing it’s drop front. Has anyone encountered this? Any chance I can harvest a drop front from a tall roller with a small “cabinet space” on the bottom?

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I couldn’t place the make of these boxes by the picture but the price was right so I went to meet the seller anyway. Was very happy to see these doors drop down!

Looks like Beach to me. Does anyone know if Beach ever built for Proto? The green is pretty similar to this one from Pinterest.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Can anyone ID this one? I don’t own it (yet) so these are the only pictures I have access to. The drawer pulls look like Waterloo or MBC....but I’ve never seen cutouts in a drop front like that or a top lid round off to the left and right.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I would call Snap On direct for replacement parts. I've read about some forum members having mixed results but it couldn't hurt to ask, they'll have the caster info at least. A truck guy once told me that he would be happy to warranty vintage slides...if I had the originals and I wanted to "buy...
