Oh that's great! I really needed something like that a while back and ended up having to buy a full size hack saw, which is now taking up space in my toolbox.

Has anyone here had a chrome socket explode? I use some chrome sockets on my impact in places where I need a longer or thin walled socket to fit. Obviously I'm wearing safety glasses either way, so what difference does it make besides the lifespan of the socket?

Ooh good timing to see that this exists. I was just looking for a torque wrench. What are everyone's thoughts on using one of these vs a dedicated 1/2" torque wrench? The other I was looking at was a Hazet 1/2" for about $200. Need to go from maybe 30NM up to at least 135NM for my lug nuts...

Same! Although his were more woodworking oriented. When I went off to college I realized I would need my own tools. At first I bought some **** from Menards then I started slowly adding better tools. I still find 10 more things I need every time I turn around though.

Seems like his only actual argument against air tools was the air hose? With where I'm living right now air tools wouldn't be practical for me, so I'm very happy that cordless tools have come far enough that you can do most auto jobs with them and not have to run a giant compressor. That said...

A disturbing amount of Hazet stuff is made in China or Taiwan these days. Gotta research before you buy.

I have a Hakko FX888D. Yes it's probably overkill for most people, but I don't think you can beat it for quality without spending a ton of money.

Nice! You should definitely post an update when you've used it a bit. Did you get it from Nepros.net? They sell repair kits on there for ~$30 and the last time I bought something on it came all the way from Japan in like 2 days.

I might do a youtube video of some of the Nepros stuff at some point. All I've ever seen on there are "unboxing" videos and I'm not convinced anyone has ever actually used their Nepros tool.
