If you must use a ratchet, why not just get a 1" rat with a 1/2" impact adapter? Your ratchet will no longer be the weak link and spare adapters are easier to carry then extra ratchets.

Found these yesterday at a tool shop in my neck woods. I'm not very familiar with SKG, can you guys tell me about them? Specifically, how durable are the tips?

Interesting none the less but gimmicky and they don't even show a good demonstration of how much torque it can apply to a fastener. I'm gonna have to pass, too many variables to deal with for me to gamble $20 of my money. It might be good for bicycles maybe they market it to that crowd.

That's only about an hour drive from San diego and about 15-20 minutes from temecula not exactly "way out in the desert".
