    Standby generator

I have a small 1200 sq ft house. I don't plan on running a bunch of stuff. I would like to run the central AC/heat (2.5 ton), fridge, freezer, well & sump pump and some lights. I don't have natural gas where I live so propane is my only option. I think a 12k generator would work for me since I...

    Standby generator

Hello! I am thinking of getting a standby generator. Either. 12 or 16000 watt. Roughly what size propane tank should I get? I was told by one company at least a 250 gallon tank as anything else would be to small because the smaller tanks wouldn’t be able to produce enough vapors to keep up with...

    Oil vs Propane furnace

How big of a propane tank should I get? Say a 100k or 120k btu furnace. I’d only be in there weekends and some evenings. Roughly how much propane does one burn an hour? I know they have different efficiency Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil vs Propane furnace

I don’t have natural gas where I live. I used to have an oil furnace in my old shop but nothing in my new one yet. So I will need to get a tank either way. This won’t be for full time use. I’m only in there evenings and weekends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil vs Propane furnace

Hello! I have a 2800 sqft pole building. I was thinking about getting either an oil furnace or a propane furnace. What are the pros and cons of each? I have only used an oil furnace in the past. By oil I mean a heating oil/kero/diesel fuel furnace, not an waste oil furnace. Thanks

    Oil/electric vs LP gas

Okay. Yeah i am talking about a packaged unit i guess. The unit would sit outside by itself and the only think inside would be the duct work.

    Oil/electric vs LP gas

I have been looking at a 4-5ton self contained heat/ac until for my building. How well does LP gas work? The LP units have a much higher BTU for heat than the all electric ones. I have used oil furnaces in the past and am wondering how much LP is used vs an oil furnace.

    My pole building!

Thanks! I am not exactly sure of how much fill it took but it was probably done over a 6 month period lol. It was a lot of fill especially in the back corner.

    Heat & AC options

I have around a 2800 sqft pole building. (40x50 w/ 14ft ceilings attached to a 24x24 w/ 10ft ceilings, all open inside) I am looking to see how big of a unit I will need to at least heat the building and possibly AC. The building will be well insulated once I'm done with it. I was looking at oil...

    My pole building!

Photos of my building so far. It was originally a 24x24 with no overhangs and uninsulated white doors. I added a 40x50 and also added a porch area to the front of the 24x24 to bring it out with the front of the new building. I also added radiant heat in the floor as well. Just the tubing ran for...

    Radiant heat insulation

Yeah I did and I believe our local lumber company 84 Lumber can it for $32.80/sheet. It's the DOW blue foam board. Home Depot can get it but it will take about 2 weeks to get.

    Radiant heat insulation

Okay. The Home Depot around here has to order the foamular 250 (takes about 1 1/2-2 weeks to get) @ $30 sheet. Lowes has the greenboard in stock but @ $36 a sheet.

    Radiant heat insulation

I was looking at the Foamular 250 from Home Depot possibly. Will that be able to withstand everything (concrete, pressure, etc..)?

    Radiant heat insulation

Hello, I am in the process of building my 40x50 building and I am installing radiant heat. I already bought the kit from Blue Ridge Company. From what I have been researching, I would need 2 inch insulation under the slab. I was looking at the 2 inch x 4ftx8ft pieces at Lowes and it's going to...

    In-floor heating

What all materials would I need to put down before I pour the floor? I probably wouldn't be hooking it up for awhile. Just what would I need to before the floor is poured? Thanks!!

    floor coating

The one part of the floor is already completed and it power troweled. If I just wanted to clear seal the floor, would I still need to grind?
