    Drive up ramps

I don't know if that is the proper name. I am referring to the ramps that are made to drive your vehicle on the raise it up to 8" off the floor. My truck has more ground clearance than a car, but not enough to slide under on a creeper to change oil and filter. I drive my car up on ramps like...

    Garage hoist

When I added a second car garage, I installed two 2x10 above the bottom cord of the truss and toward the back of the garage, against a 2x4 running diagonally from the roof to ceiling 2x4. Then I nailed a 2x4 to the diagonal 2x4 and the 2x10 at each truss. The 2x10s go from wall to wall. I made...

I heartily agree with that! Glad you liked it. It was fun doing the research.

    Blast Cabinet

The Lab where I worked had one of those. Looked to be well made. I was going to use it as a pattern to build one before I came across the one I got. I like Ike too. You may find this article interesting that I wrote recently. The Eisenhower Rototiller

    Blast Cabinet

This will not be of any help, but a fellow I bought a rototiller from had taken it in trade for work he did.

    Blast Cabinet

Thanks for the comment. No, I bought the basic shell in two pieces and finished it using parts from TP Tools. I made an extension for the cabinet to do long items.

    Blast Cabinet

I am looking for other ideas for lighting in my home made cabinet. I have two flood lights, one in each corner. For some reason the one on the left burns out quite often from vibration. A 4' fluorescent light across the top is out because I made a tapered air inlet to wash air across the...

Restricted air intake on a Ingersol Rand SS3 compressor

I was looking at those, but I had this old Kohler filter here and it did not take much to put it on.

Restricted air intake on a Ingersol Rand SS3 compressor

I bought my IR SS3 air compressor in 2002, but never used it very hard until this past year when I started bead blasting. I didn't think it did too bad. While blasting it would never go below 80 psi. Well, I decided I had better check the air filter since I was using it pretty heavily. I was...

Everything you need to know about bench vises...

My vise came from the place I retired from. I bet nobody there knew that. Probably just put the vise on the workbench and drilled 4 holes and mounted it not even noticing the un-symmetrical pattern. Thanks much for your explanation.

Everything you need to know about bench vises...

I apologize if this was ask before, but I was wondering why the base ring mounting holes of my Wilton C-2 are not symmetrical. Is the base to be mounted in a certain position relative to the body of the vise?

The Unofficial Vise Parts Swap Thread.

Already checked there, none in stock. Many places have them listed, but do not actually have them in house. So, you order and then find they are no longer available. I just waited almost 2 months to find that out at Wares Direct.

Looking for Wilton part # 2904510 - end piece assembly w/two pins for C2 101059 Wilton vise. I checked with several online stores without success. Thought there may be someone on this forum who has parts.

Everything you need to know about bench vises...

Does anyone have a source for the pins that retain the spindle nut in a Wilton C2 vise? When I got mine, someone had installed split pins and they were not tight. The hole is larger than 1/4" but too small for a 5/16" pin.

Everything you need to know about bench vises...

Couple of questions related to my Wilton C2 vise. The screws for the jaws, were they button head allen socket or low probile socket head? Also, in the photo I have included what is the smashed pin in between the 2 bolt holes in the end where the screw retainer plate goes? The other photo is...
