    Buy Canadian

Could add Gregg Distributors, especially as they're very pro Canada/MiCan. Travers Canada too (not sure if US owned?).

What kind of Connector is this??

As you say, that fitting is common on cooling system testers from multiple brands but I also had a hard time trying to figure out what the fitting is. I think Astro Pneumatic uses that same fitting. If so, perhaps a PM to their rep here would be worth a try. They're helpful people, though...

Was shameless self promotion but you're welcome (y)

Like this? I also like the Proto square profile ones best.

90deg. / offset adjustable "Ford" wrench

Amazon. Or any ag dealer. Just search for "3 point hitch ball" or "lower link ball" and lynch pins. Class dictates pin bore.

90deg. / offset adjustable "Ford" wrench

I have a couple of sizes of the NWS Excelsior in this pattern. They're handy to tweak a bracket or something when a regular adjustable can't get there and I've used them on a couple of awkward hyd fittings that weren't very tight. I can't speak for other brands/types but given the narrow jaws...

    Hydraulic hose crimper

Pretty much in the same boat as sk farmer here. We also deal with so many different brands from all over the world, we'd need a ridiculous amount of fittings. Din/Cat/sae/bsp/komatsu/orb/orfs and more on top of the common jic stuff. A few field fittings in common sizes/standards and/or the...

Swapping tools to get same mfg

Great counterpoints. You asked questions, I answered. You made points, I pointed out how they were wrong. WTF else do you want? To just be right with zero merit? OK, you're right.

Swapping tools to get same mfg

Nope. Lots. 1. I don't consider myself the arbiter of what something "should" cost. The market dictates that. 2. If something costs more than I want to pay, I don't whine about it, I just don't buy it. 3. I value my own and other peoples' time. Lol, ok. Thank you for your high level...

    Imperial tools on Metric fastener

I bought a Snap-on 1 7/16" 4-way angle wrench many years ago as they didn't make a 36mm at the time. After many years of about 50/50 metric and sae, I've pretty much memorised which sizes cross over perfectly (or virtually anway) and which ones are slightly bigger and smaller etc. I will...

Swapping tools to get same mfg

^ Even still, you're quibbling about 2 or maybe 3 ******* dollars. I'd rather throw a socket in the garbage than list it for a few bucks and have someone tell me my $6 shipping is "unreasonable". For something they don't even need, they just want to complete a set. smh

How many of you buy duplicates of the same type of tool and what do you do with them?

This just blew my mind. Never thought of making a clamp that way. Thank you sir.

Couple of old MAC specialty drivers

I don't have to deal with those plastic clips very often but when I do it's typically on something that just rolled in and it's -40 outside.

Couple of old MAC specialty drivers

Wow. Now I've seen the pic I must concede to that being at least mid level ******* 😂 It's fine though. They got those lifetime alternators now ;)

Couple of old MAC specialty drivers

That's already a lot but pretty low level ******* these days tbh Poor techs doing that on warranty times too. Not me though so it's fine. But I have my own ******* to deal with.

Couple of old MAC specialty drivers

Lol I know of a multitude of hard to do "simple jobs" including pulling batteries for bulbs, fender liners for like anything nowadays it seems, scan tool to check oil levels, VW/Audi putting timing chains on the back of the engine etc etc. Just seemed an oddly specific and not very relevant...

Couple of old MAC specialty drivers

Firstly: What the hell are you on about? Who said anything about removing batteries to change a bulb? Secondly: Yeah, I'm sure you could do a far better job of packaging increasing amounts of **** into similarly sized engine bays and car bodies whilst also ensuring that wherever the hell you...

    Going from a 5mm to a 6mm hole

Yeah if it were mine that hole would already be drilled with a 6mm step drill and I'd have moved on to extensively researching hair removal tooling.

    Going from a 5mm to a 6mm hole

Might be hard to find correct sizing in a step drill but they drill way rounder and closer to size than a twist drill in that material thickness. I also have several step drills in 1mm increments and one that is 0.5mm increments (pre-Irwin OG Unibits). They make for decent spotting drills too.

Heat Shrink Tubing- best deal vs best product

Why? I always figured seamless were a better but more expensive-to-produce product. I've never had an issue crimping seamless connectors but have definitely had some weird crimps with the seamed ones when it splits there (and yes I know there is right/wrong orientation to crimp seamed...
