BigEarn86, you did well, you won't find them any cheaper even in Japan. I took this pic a few days ago as I'm thinking of buying one or two. The X type don't close completely, I'm sure they're fine but seems a little odd to me. I couldn't find the black metal finish ones, just the chrome plated...

I picked up these new old stock Tsubosan files on Yahoo auctions for around $9 delivered. A pair of 200 mm ******* files. One is a square and one a triangular file. Superautobacs, I couldn't find how to change resolution on pics on my iPhone. :dunno:

Hi losvre, I can't tell how good they are as I just bought them and haven't used them yet. I haven't tried the brand you mention but I can say they "feel" as good as say, a brand like Nicholson. They are a well regarded brand here in Japan and can be found at most home centres or tool stores...

Hi Superautobacs, yes I don't know why the pics are so small or that I can only upload one pic per post. Anyway, yes you're correct. They're Tsubosan files made in Hiroshima. You can see a better pic here.

Today's little purchase. Apart from the plumb bob which is made in China, the wooden handles and file which are also probably made in China. The rest is made in Japan. 😃

Hi Super, it's a funny thing, I already had the green Nejisaurus but I thought I had the larger one. As it turns out this is identical except for color and having a rubber end cap 😃 I don't think it's a limited edition. One of the reasons I thought I had the larger one is because this was cheap...

That's a perfectly good question though not something I've encountered. So, I took a look. I would say there is very little movement but that doesn't tell much. Soooo, I connected my 30mm extension to the 150mm and estimate movement to be around 2 mm. When reversed (150 connected to 30mm) the...

Here's a pic of my Koken and Snap On extensions. I reach for the Koken extensions every time I need one, why? I like the flexibility of the wobble head, the ease of going from wobble to lock, but most of all I like the knurling. The Snap On knurling is just too fine to make any difference when...

    Kinda cool...

I wonder if these places are like other places which have membership such as gyms. You know? where everyone treats equipment respectfully and replaces things where they took them from, wait their turn to use things, wipes down benches when they're done so as to leave the place **** and span...
