Awesome - thanks! Maybe I'm blind but I'm not finding that tool check set anywhere to buy? Tons of "bit check" sets and such, but that set with the bit ratchet and metric sockets pictured above from Monte looks perfect for what I need. Actually, I don't find that set on the Wera website...

Agreed -- I'd love seeing 2nds/scratch and dent/used Hazet stuff for sale. Although I suppose that would depend on whether that stuff even exists.

Over the years I have gotten along with a couple crappy old Stanley and Craftsmen bit holding screwdrivers. To go along with them I have various cheapy bits and bit sets that I have picked up here and there. I finally bought a couple nice Wera bit holding drivers that are so much nicer to use...

Also interested in the PB Swiss set... Let me know if I can jump in line on that set if not already spoken for.

Well, wedge ain't gonna do anything on this press.... I completely hadn't paid attention (because I guess I wasn't looking for it) to the back of the mechanism where I assumed there would be a split. Here it is: So looks like it'll be the penetrant + dead blow. Already sprayed...

Replacing the column would be an option if I can get it all apart cleanly and can find the column -- looks like South Bend has parts for their machinery back into the '30s so I'll call them if I do go that route. I'll have to see if I can find a more specific part number or serial number on the...

Late reply... Yes and no. Yes, I am Cameron of IPD, but no I am not that Cameron. Confusing I know. That Cameron is Cameron L. He worked at IPD for a few years from the late 90s through about 2003/2004ish. I started at IPD in February 2006 and have been there since.

It's a good gospel :beer: The way my garage is positioned at the back corner of the property behind the house sorta makes it tough to maneuver a 2nd car into the left hand side of the garage anyway. Just another reason to use that side for bigger, better workspace. Oh, I have a million if...
