Hardline tools from tool truck brands not made in US??

The fact is that the wrenches in question here are priced accordingly. COO has no bearing on the margin the dealer is making. I make the same margin whether the wrench is made here, Taiwan, or the f-ing moon.

Sale tax i.e. Snap on trucks

It depends on your state's laws. where I'm at you used to be able to charge the rate for the location where the sale was being made or choose to use the rate at the legal location of your business (i.e. home). but I believe it has recently changed to using the rate where the sale is made only...

    just asking

I love it! The tool business might be the only business where you can give a guy a voucher for free tools and the guy still think he's getting screwed. I could sit here and explain how your voucher works and why he can't use it for discounted merchandise, but I won't. its really none of your...

Snap on Dealer: "Give back my tools you thief"!!

as a professional tool distributor, I deal with skips and repossess tools regularly. I would never act that way when dealing with a skip. it gets you no where.

Snap on Dealer: "Give back my tools you thief"!!

not a very effective way to make a repossession. losing your cool that way almost guarantees that you will be unable to collect on that account, or get your tools back.

    Tool box values

I get that combo in trade pretty regularly, guys typically buy it while they are in tech school, and pay a lot under list, so there are a ton of them out there. When I sell one, I typically get about $800 to $1000 if they are in good shape. Of course I finance them on the truck, so I would think...

How bad is the toolbox market for a seller right now?

I really doubt you have to worry about professional dealers buying used boxes. I've never seen one on craigslist or ebay that made good business sense to buy and resell. the space on my truck is better used for selling a new box. If I have a used box on my truck, its because I took it in on...
