    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

The store I went to had them all in the aisle in front of the regular craftsman stuff. Marked down a bit. $5 off the socket/ratchet sets. I noticed that most of the leftover Klein stuff was mixed in with the electrical tools, with yellow tags. The only thing of note I saw in the clearance was...

    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

The store I went to on Monday had been restocked from when I went before christmas with some stuff. They had almost no Klein stuff and had fresh stock (discounted) of the flip-socket sets and blacked out screwdrivers. The V-series socket+ratchet sets all seemed well stocked too. Ratchets looked...

    USAG Screwdrivers

Keep your eye on the Craftsman V-series at Lowe’s. Made in France. Not sure they will come back in stock for the $19 price or not. If so, ****** them up and then get a few vessel to supplement. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-CM-8PC-Screwdriver-Set/5005531881

Bad bubble flare, cheap tool or..?

Thanks for sharing. Wish I had this earlier this summer when I needed to repair a brake line on the Mini that I trashed. Bought a cheap tool from advance that lasted all of three flares before breaking. I needed something same-day so, I was somewhat in between a rock and a hard place. I was...

    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

Picked up the nifty V-Series 1/4 ratchet/socket set this weekend. I’ve always liked those Facom sets and couldn’t pass up this deal. The 1/4 case is interesting. When you take the ratchet out, there are three little “shims” underneath. One in the center, one under the **** of the handle and one...

Thoughts on this portable single post lift?

I first saw one like this on the Greasy Fingers YouTube. His appeared to be pretty stable. Not sure if he used any extra supports. Found a few videos from a bloke in Australia talking about it. He did use supports under the arms while working on the vehicle. Found another video from some...

    Harry J. Epstein Day 2024

Small order arrived this week. Got it inside just before the rain hit. Stellar job with the box art in memory of our beloved chow we lost 2 years ago. My wife got teary eyed when see saw “coco” written with pink flowers (Her color). I should have made a larger order! Lol.

    Siding replacement

Alside has been around for years. Based in NE Ohio, they have plants and distribution centers around the country. I don’t have any personal experience with their siding but I see no reason to suspect that it wouldn’t work for you. If I recall, they have a line that has insulation built into it...

    Air sealing foundation to framing

You could also look for Polyguard, formerly Polywall. https://polyguard.com/residential/products/blue-barrier-lf Prosoco R-guard is also an option. Based on Amazon prices for Zip, both Prosoco and Polyguard are cheaper. For any of them, wear gloves.

    Electric corded snow blowers

I broke down and got a corded Snow Joe during a sale a few years back after hurting my back. Other than some 12”+ storms, it’s handled pretty much everything except some super heavy slush. I live in an urban area so houses are close together with a fairly long and narrow drive. For about 2/3 of...

    Angle grinder needed at nasa

Thanks. I was wondering what they were when I saw this. To my uneducated eye, they reminded me of some of the tamper-proof screws you see in restrooms from time to time. 😂

Torx 10-30 sockets: Tekton vs Husky?

I recently got a USAG set of regular torx and e-torx sockets from Ultimate garage. got it mainly for the e-torx so I haven’t used the bit sockets yet. https://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/part.php?cPath=1278&products_id=8570 As pbwoodworking said, bits are great. I’ve been happy with the Wera...

    stripped T20 torx cap screw

What about something like the Grip Edge or Mac RBRT? https://www.gripedgetools.com/products/9pc-star-driver-set https://www.mactools.com/products/mt20rbrt if it’s totally rounded, would a Hex RBRT or grip edge work?

    Washer fluid

I generally use Anti Frost from Nextzett in winter. Been using it for years, when they were still Einszett (1Z). https://nextzettusa.com/anti-frost-windshield-washer-fluid-concentrate-33-8-oz-1-liter/ In the summer, I use either their Kristall Klear or 303 tabs… both with distilled water.

If the two locations I drive by regularly are any indication, I’d say they are quite a bit smaller than Wright even.

    Tools from the old world

Glad they are finding success. I first heard about them via a short film back in 2014. Last I had heard, they had gone into receivership after the owner committed suicide. Happy to see that they have been able to make a comeback.
