Wow Terry, great minds think alike ! I've been borrowing my lead tech's roll pin punch from time to time, and got sick of it, so I got myself a decent cheap set from Home DepotDOTcom. Although not as nice as yours, the $29.00 12piece Mayhew set I bought should treat me just fine: And...

    What's your Crimper

My everyday goto crimpers are a pair of $22 Channel Lock 909's.......solid, almost flawless everytime. For weatherpac and deutsch terminal work, I reach for my Mac Tools TCT1028 crimpers. With 5 different sizes to work with, I never need another tool for assembly. Quite honestly, the only...

Stanley is better than Husky and Kobalt ?

I hate to say this, but while wifey's doing her shopping, I've got nowhere to go.......so off to the tool aisles I go. While wasting my life away in this bargain-basement abyss, I noticed the hammer-drill you guys are talking about, and caught myself actually drooling over it. LOL It's comfy...

    Air Tool Binge

Nope, but I'm dieing to give their products a try. I've read decent reviews, and their prices are really good. Worst part is, warranty. Gotta ship the thing back, I assume? Sca-rew that.

GJ Giveaway: 10 Gearwrench 120XP ratchets!

I'm a new GearWrench owner, thanks to Sears' Black Friday sale on the 20 piece set.....and I LOVE IT ! The only thing I'd change isn't the tools' fault @ all. I'd make them a touch longer, but that's what they make the XL's for. ( My next Gearwrench purchase for sure ) I work in a...

tool carts, what do you have?

http://blogs.popularhotrodding.com/6736540/tech/tool-cart/ Interesting read. I'm all for buying American, but Where exactly in the dictionary under Patriotism does it state that I have to take food OFF my kids' plates in order to pay $800+ for a Snap On cart, when instead I could be buying them...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

No doubt; Some yahoo was probably towing it behind his Prius when a wheel fell off on the expressway LOL.

Just got home with my 20 pc set of gearwrenches from Sears. I'm impressed with the feel of them, decent quality for the $50 I layed down for them. In an unrelated note, the imported CM combo wrenches are a dead giveaway, but atleast the open stock is still all USA FORGED. (For now anyways)

56 inch HF Roller on sale

The painter in our shop has the smaller version of your box, (42" ?) and from what I can tell, it's built really well. I'd stack it up against the Craftsman roller-bearing boxes any day of the week. Another tech in our shop brought in from home a Craftsman SS top and bottom set, 41". Compared...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Good eye, it's a 304, but I like the 350 in the next bay over better. ( You can see my Speedglas over on the left on the Kobalt "cart" ) The 350 seems to be smoother than my 304 imho. The 304 I run is the 1 and only Mig I've ever truly spent time welding with as I'm a stick-welder @ heart, but...

    Let's see your toolbox.

I stumbled onto this thread last night, so I took a pic @ the shop today and emailed it to myself so I could share it here....my current set @ work consists of a KRA4813D roll cab, KRA4810 chest, and the bottom 1/2 of my stainless Kobalt set is used for an "electrical cart"....to take my...

Looking for an opinion, IR experts welcome

Excellent info, thanks for the pdf. I might take the gamble and order a grip for the new 317A. I've since recieved the sander and used it multiple times @ work, and I'm truly impressed. It's quite comparible to the Mac and BluePoint versions my friends have, and it's better looking imho. Weight...

Looking for an opinion, IR experts welcome

Hello all, newb here. 1st let me say it's quite enjoyable reading all the knowledge you guys share with one-another. On with my question: Is there any difference between the "Edge" series of tools and the regular IR tools? My reason for asking is, is because I've been on the hunt for a quality...
