Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Well shoot! When I get a notification that there has been another post in this thread I get all excited, but the notification was for naught. I'll post my latest find though. This little guy has roller drawers that sure are smooth compared to the other Craftsman gray/reds I have. I think it...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Wow 2003. That's the biggest red/gray combo I've seen in a while for that kind of money. You did very well and it cleaned up great. The red/gray Craftsman boxes seem to be a little hard to find around here too.

    One Big Happy Craftsman Family

Emerson says they sent me a box to return my radial arm saw motor over two weeks ago. I never received the box, so they are going to send me another one. This is a lot of hassle for 50 bucks, but it's money to buy more toolboxes. Yeah.

    One Big Happy Craftsman Family

I bought this Craftsman today for 40 bucks. I think I paid a little too much, but it did include a few goodies. There were some coins painted or glued to the bottom that I'm sure are worth a fortune. I just have to look them up. Right! Anyway, here are some pictures. I seem to have the solid...

    Craftsman Toolbox Thread

That's the way they are on the machinist's chests. There are some pins that go up and down through the top part to keep the drawers in place when the lid is closed.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Hey JoCo, My wife and I travel to Bryson City to see relatives. It is a lovely part of this country. How far did you have to travel, you mentioned Atlanta. We live north of the big A. You did well with those, especially for 200.

Block Grinder side cover and tool rests

Anyone? A generous member has some of the smaller parts he's willing to give me, but I'm still looking for one side cover.

    Hammer storage ?

I store mine similar to Bogie, but use the 'old school' dish draining racks I get from Goodwill. I find a section that works and cut it out then just store the hammers with the heads facing down. I also use this method for some screwdrivers, pliers and adjustable wrenches. Hey, I'm cheap!

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Hey Gunfighter, Thanks for the info. I'm going to try that one day. I have used my dremel to polish after a lot of sanding, but plating looks easier than sanding to bare metal and should hold up better.

Hello Happy Craftsman Block Grinder Parts Holders, I need one side cover for my grinder (I think the parts are the same for the left and right side) and two tool rests. I could also use some shields. Here are some pictures of what I have. The info sticker is completely faded except for 1/2...
