    Minisplit: external lines or internal

How many stories is the addition? If it's a single story addition, run them up inside one wall, across the attic and down the other wall.

Need a meter socket and 200 Amp Panel Recommendations

Milbank meter pans with lever bypass are very common around here - the electric co-op required one when my parents upgraded to 200A service a few years ago. Eaton BR is similar to Square D Homeline and Eaton CH is similar to Square D QO.

    Wi-Fi

While I agree that a wireless bridge is the "best" option, I just installed one of these TP-Link power line wifi extenders in my uncle's shop a couple months ago and it actually works better than I expected: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTJMJ7MT?tag=atomicindus08-20 He has a small hunting cabin...

    Permanent Under Eave House Lights

I don't like that method because it leaves a nice spot for birds or other pests to make a nest on top of the channel.

One more thing requiring maintenance - what's the lifespan of those LEDs?

Single do it all device for occasional pulling and maybe lifting

I see your point but where I come from winches are used to raise or lift lighter weight stuff all the time.

Single do it all device for occasional pulling and maybe lifting

As you said no single device is good for everything. Here are my thoughts: Come-a-long - Good for applying tension or pulling something a short distance Chain hoist - Good for lifting something in place but you can't move it unless it's on a gantry Engine hoist - Good for lifting something...

Heat 24/7 or only when in the shop?

I think it also depends on what you're doing in the shop and if you're storing vehicles in the shop. For instance, if you only turn on the heat when you work out there you will still be rolling around on a cold floor or inside a cold vehicle until they have time to warm up which could take...

Tekton push button adjustable pliers pliers?

Sears went bankrupt because Eddie Lampert purposely ran it into the ground so he could strip it and sell off the parts.

How Many Receptacles on Each Circuit?

I think conduit is a great idea in a finished garage because it makes it much simpler to reconfigure circuits without fishing through or tearing open a wall.

How Many Receptacles on Each Circuit?

I like the idea of alternating circuits for outlet runs on a wall. For instance, say you have circuits A and B with duplex boxes: A----------B----------A----------B----------A----------B or with quad boxes: AB----------AB----------AB----------AB----------AB It's easier to do it with conduit.

Question about common automotive fuses and tools to remove them

I don't think I've had to change a fuse in 20 years but I still carry spares in my truck. The Bussman fuses sold at Walmart are just fine. I don't trust the cheap ones from Harbor Freight.

What to put under cabinet bases sitting on the garage floor?

If it were me I'd use the adjustable legs underneath the cabinets to make up for variances in the floor, and then scribe a piece of PVC for the toe kick. You can get snap clamps to attach the toe kick to the feet so it's removable. I might fasten the cabinets to the wall so they don't move...

Craftsman Flex made in USA ratchets worth 60?

I have two houses and I have tools at each house. My Craftsman stuff (also known as my reserve collection) is kept at my smaller city house and is used less frequently than the tools at my country house. Most of my automotive tools are at my country house because that's where I have the space to...
