Budget whole house generator (and garage for it)

I lose power probably 4-5 times a year, sometimes for days at a time. We're at the very end of the leg, so when we lose power it's 18 houses. Which means we're last on the list to get fixed. And there's mature tree's over above ground power lines. Every heavy snow, heavy wind, or pretty much...

Building cost in South eastern Mass.

I'm building my garage for ~50k. It's just the bare building, not finished. It's a 3 story 24x44x35' but the 2nd and 3rd floors will just be left with plywood.

garage bluetooth speaker (plug-in not battery, <$100))

I have this guy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075RMZ5ZS/?tag=atomicindus08-20 It *can* be used on battery or plug in. It gets plenty loud and can fill my back yard with sound, and has a good range for high's and low's. I'm not an audiophile, but I'm happy with it.

    Tire Savers?

My jaguar sits a lot, and it's the same thing. I pull it out and i have the flat spots. Once I warm the tires up though they go away. Usually 5-10 miles. Addtionally, i've heard that keeping the suspension uncompressed is bad for it.

Finally building my dream garage, but I have some questions

The footer is 24" wide and 36" deep all around. Elevator is going in maybe next year, it'll just be stairs for now. It'll be a 4'x8' platform, winch opperated, emergency brake. It'll be in the corner, with tracks similiar to garage tracks. It'll be completely custom.

Mr Cool DIY or Advantage 18k

When I did mine, I bought a set of ac guages from amazon for $55, and a vacuum pump from amazon for $60. Set the vacuum pump on for 20min, turned it off, waited an hour to see if the gauges moved. They didn't, so I closed the service port, released the freon, and boom, ice cold air.

Will 24k mini split be large enough?

I just installed a 24k btu mini split on my first floor. AC only, no heat. I heard that they're very inefficient in the heating department, I already have a wood stove, fireplace, and oil furance, so $300 saved. I paid $900 on ebay for an innovair 24k btu. The compressor was pre-charge, so I...

Finally building my dream garage, but I have some questions

THere will be plenty of pictures before, during, and after construction. I will do everything in it. Probably not much wood work though since I moved on to metal work. I have 8 cars which require regular maintenance, and a 3 car garage, one bay is dedicated to my "workshop" and zero storage...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

The 3pt blade on my tractor wasn’t sitting level and the threaded adjuster was seized. Stuck it in a vice, 24” breaker bar on a pipe wrench, soaked it with penetrating oil, and worked it free over the course of an hour. Still in the vice, I ran out of power.

Finally building my dream garage, but I have some questions

The first floor I’m going to do a mini split 24k btu ac unit. I just in staled one in my house and love it. The walls are 2x8’s so I’ll have room for insulation when I eventually finish it. I’m going 100a sub panel for power. Lifts, ac, compressor are all 220v. Currently have a 11v welder but...

Finally building my dream garage, but I have some questions

Less than a month away from breaking ground on my 24x44x35' garage. 2 cars wide, 2 deep, plenty of storage on the 2nd and 3rd floor. 2 garage doors, 2 service doors, 6 windows. I'm blowing out my budget on the biggest building I can get, then doing other things down the line. But I'm trying to...
