Yea, I've been bummed since hearing that. I need a few more, but not yet. I remember early in my MFG career having dozens upon dozens of those in the weld shop. We would cut the deep jaw ones up and make them 2 feet long in some places. Great tools.

Yes, that's the carbide precipitation for ya. The black granular hard stuff? That's one thing I hate about plasma cutting SS is the edge cleanup.
All great suggestions. Wood chop saw will work wonders. Get a new sharp blade with a Triple Chip Grind, and a wax stick and you'll be in great shape. If you have a bench grinder or a right angle pneumatic die grinder get a 3M EXL deburring wheel or the same in Roloc pads for the die grinder...
