New Toolbox search-Husky Heavy Duty vs Craftsman V Series vs US General

Well- I found a black 40.5" Grip-Latch chest on FB Marketplace to go with my Grip-Latch roller cabinet. Here it is in all it's glory! It's not in perfect shape, but pretty good for $75! Needs a good cleaning and lube as well as sticker removal. It's going to go over there to replace the old...

I dunno, looks more like a 50 to me. Thanks for the input. I would love a pro toolbox like a Snap-On, MAC or Matco but just too much money for what I need.

Unfortunately, my top box, or chest as it's properly called, isn't a Grip-Latch. Maybe someday I'll find a good Grip Latch chest. As far as shittin' on Craftsman, I think if you own an $8k SO you have to sign an agreement to **** on anything other than SO. lol

In spending the last few days looking at toolboxes and tugging on drawers, I think the grip-latch type of drawer lock is my favorite. I might just look for a decent used Craftsman Grip-Latch chest and roller and refinish the similar to the Craftsman V Series

Snap-On with Lock N Roll. Scratch that off my list.

So does the Snap-On have the side slide to open like the US General series 3?

You might have a look at the S.E. Aurora Lowe's and see what you think of the Series V Craftsman. As mentioned above, they have both the 52" and 63" roller cabinets in stock.

Yeah I got that but I've never actually seen or touched one. Then what happens if there is an issue and I need warranty? Home Depot and Lowe's are a short drive from here. Edit-I went back and looked more closely at the Masterforce toolbox online and I do really like it. Especially the Grip...

Lowe's still sells them for delivery. Not at give away prices, but reasonable. $55

The only box I've found from China is the HF US General. The Husky is made in Thailand and the Craftsman is Made in the USA. I sent him a message. I was meaning to do that. Thanks for the reminder! I'll check out Extreme Thanks

I really could have used this set today to get this tiny little T-20 TORX screw out of the leaking oil tube on my EcoDiesel. My 1/4" TORX socket hit the AC suction line. I guess I shoulda ordered this first. When I first saw it I thought "I'll never need that" MAN!

I stopped by HF and I don't really like the US General. I went by HD and I'm not too excited with the Husky the more I look at it. The closest Menards is about six hours away. So I guess it's used SO or the V Series.
