    Craftsman Universal Tools

I take it you are referring to the new Craftsman modular Bolt-On system? http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/dap_10155_12602_DAP_Bolt+On I have no input on it, but I don't think most know what you're referencing.

    Workshop 88

Neither of us said we weren't enjoying it; to the contrary, I stated I was interested to see where it was going. I love seeing the creative ideas that limited space provokes. It was just an explanation . . . Mr. 360, I love the bench idea, and your sketching skills are great.

    Compact cordless drivers

Another vote for Bosch. I picked up the PS-20 about 5 years ago, and liked it so much I picked up the PS21/PS41 combo a few years later. The set comes with 2 batteries and they charge very quickly. They are very compact and very light, and have always had enough power for my uses.

    Workshop 88

Neat little space. I'm interested to see where this is going. 88 is also a neo-nazi thing, and represents Heil, Hitler. That may be what Stanimal was referring to.

    "Loft" Over Garage Door

I'm still in the planning stages for the loft and likely won't do it until spring. I have an unheated garage and I'm in the middle of other projects. I need to finish building some shelves up front, painting and organizing. I did go to Home Depot and check out supplies. They have some beams that...

    What's your workbench look like?

Get some 1/8" tempered hardboard, like this: http://www.homedepot.com/Lumber-Composites-Engineered-Wood-Products/h_d1/N-5yc1vZbtnf/R-202046928/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 Screw it down with some small screws to hold it in place. It gives a much more finished...

    "Loft" Over Garage Door

I've actually been following your thread, vegar. I like what you're doing with your shop. My beam will probably end up inside the wall, too, but we'll see. I want to get a friend over who has a bit of experience in construction and get his ideas. I think what hobie1dog has been suggesting...

    "Loft" Over Garage Door

I'll think about how best to do this. I went to Home Depot to price a beam and talk with someone about it and no one was there that knew about them. I'll try again today or tomorrow. Thanks again. I know. I may not post much but I read on here a lot. The wall painting is under way and...

    "Loft" Over Garage Door

Thanks, hobie, that makes sense. I don't suppose it changes much that my drywall and studs don't go down to the floor, does it? I have a 36" concrete wall upon which the frame for the garage was built. Like this: I could open up the drywall on each side and attach the 4x4s for the beam to a...
