    Low budget 30x48 build

Liking the go with the flow attitude, change the plan to take advantage of an opportunity. The forms are inspiring, it's the only thing i didn't do myself (concrete) but i would like to do it next time.

What's on your tool buying list for 2015?

Lathe, impact wrench, torque wrench, maybe a TIG, feed the pliers addiction, toolcart, etc, etc... It's going to be an expensive year, my garage is a hair short of being finished, now i have to turn it from a big empty room into a workplace. GJ helps me find the deals, but it also makes me get...

    Zoro 12/29 sale

Saved $758, Connecticut though, so did have to pay sales tax. I bought an IR 2475N7.5 compressor, which made for the bulk of the cost, and some knipex plier wrenches and a bolt cutter. Another good step towards a well-equipped garage!

I scored them on ebay for $150, best deal i could find! The seller was in Belgium, and i happen to be visiting my family there for the holidays, so it worked out great. My dad has them too, and two of my cousins, everybody loves them! I still need to get the big sizes, just because i like a set...

Screws, what are you using ?

I used torx deck screws when I remodeled my house and built my garage. For the sheathing I used both nails (for shear) and screws (because they never pull out). I just like the added comfort of knowing things are overbuilt. I used a lot of these, but I buy the 25 lb buckets...

Garage drywall almost done, what paint/primer to use?

I did my house and garage in Behr primer and Behr satin finish, the red and blue-green-ish buckets respectively. I'm not very pleased, I find the paint to damage easily, peels off the walls when you tape something on it, my dad jokes he could peel it off and make plastic bags out of it. The...

If one had access to a CNC mill, how do you go about millimg these? Type of bit, presumably at high rpm? And how do you hold down the workpiece? I'm planning to build a router style CNC.

Very nice! Are you sure you have enough torque wrenches? :) (Whereabouts in Belgium? I'm from Limburg originally)

You KNOW your a tool ADDICT when....

When you start buying tools for friends, because friends don't let friends work with subpar tools, and because you hope they'll see the light after being exposed to a good tool. When you start thinking of food as an unfortunate necessary expense that needs to be streamlined to simply maintain...

Just some pics of my electrical work to critique

I put in a little extra loop in each wire in my panel, so i have a little bit more cable to play with if for whatever reason in the future i'd need to move breakers around. Not that i envision any reason for that to happen, more of a 'just in case'.

    new-built attached 750sqft garage, Connecticut

It's a woodstove, Woodstock Progress Hybrid, including chimney and all accesories it ran me about $4500. I'm not counting it here because it was for the house, not for the garage specifically. I did oversize it so that i can heat up both house and garage with it, my kitchen door opens to the...
