    Strictlytoolboxes.com/41" Extreme Tools Box

I haven't yet found an on-topic thread, and my question may be a bit off topic for this thread I'm reviving, but does anyone on GJ have one of these "portable workstation" top chests like this Extreme Tools chest? I have a sears catalog I was thumbing through this morning and came across it...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

I'm sure he saw it...I just don't think he anticipated the car coming back onto the track. Besides, if he slowed heavily he might get punted in the rear. I'm sure it was a sphincter clencher taking the 911 off track...pretty much no traction and hard to get back on without spinning.

    Burned By snapster

Sellers ask for payment via "gift" for two reasons: (1) to scam people out of their money, or (2) to scam paypal out of its fee. As the buyer, if you paid by "gift" to purchase something because the seller told you to do that, I would think that paypal would take that into account. If you...

GJ slowing down? Used to be the fastest site I use.

I hadn't noticed any issues until today. And it's only on the GJ forum, so it seems that it's definitely something going on with the servers on which this forum is hosted. Mods -- care to weigh in???

    Tuffshed Converted.

Nice! Put a decent propane grill outside and some type of shower/sink/toilet and you have everything you could ever need (well, except maybe a garage to keep your tools and cars in).

    What's the NUMBER 1 tool you'd recommend?

Pencil and a piece of paper...and a good computer! I can't tell you how many times I've used both to help me figure out a problem. Oh and on the "a good computer" front...it's useful to gain access to a great tool like GJ! :-)

An Open Letter to Dave MacNeil of WeatherTech

There's a difference between a long explanation and a rant. I agree that something that comes across as a rant will be dismissed as coming from a crazy person or someone who is just looking for a freebie. A lot of people write letters to companies just hoping for some attention or that...

How do you mechanics up north stay warm???

O.k., first I'll admit I'm in Phoenix AZ and it isn't cold here. But I did grow up in the Midwest. Second, I'm not going to comment specifically on gear, but on something else to think about. If you are from the gulf coast, in addition to not being used to the cold, your body is probably...

An Open Letter to Dave MacNeil of WeatherTech

Who's angry? He wrote a letter to express his frustration over poor customer service. Most everything sold here today is built / made in China, the quality is often poor, and given that we produce so little in this country, we have become a "service economy." Except we don't really offer...

    8m x 8m x 3m Garage/Workshop

Nice looking yard. Brick must be very cheap in SA, since the entire back wall (above the retaining wall) is made from that stuff. I've never been there. From the foliage in the pic, I imagine the weather to be pretty temperate...perhaps like the weather here in the U.S. midwest? Oh, and I...

    Garage Re-Organization....My Turn

My garage door opener sits over the door...probably gives me an extra foot of room. Can you just change the 15A fuse and outlet where you want to plug in? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

What are some options for alternative garages?

Renting for a few hours is impractical for us. We need someplace where we can store all of our tools parts and resto projects. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

What are some options for alternative garages?

I used to own a commercial office building. I lost that to the bank when the market crashed. Part of the reason I lost it was that I couldn't get tenants into it like I'd planned before I bought it. So, I'm a bit gun shy. I'd still consider it if I knew I could get enough quality long term...
