Finally finished installing the **** blaster in my son’s megacab dodge. Sounds pretty damn good for 2 shallow subs. But sending them tons of power helps!! Just need to get some carpet.
I would be tearing that old one out and building a new one. If the door was in that bad of shape, I can't imagine the door frame is much better?
Although I understand the frustration involved, especially doing it for a friend for free. Good on ya.
Nothing in the garage this past week. We rented an air b and b for the week and got home yesterday. Had some friends over last night for some beverages and sat in the garage till the wee hours of the night. Not sure why we didn’t sit around a campfire. 🤷♂️ but was nice to sit in the garage...
Finally, after owning my gladiator for a year and a half, I took the roof and doors off. I need some storage for the doors. I’ll build a rack for them some time! 🤪
Beautiful truck. I grew up dreaming of owning a lowered 90’s Chevy. My dream was an extended cab long box with dually fenders and fatties under it. I still have a picture of one I wanted to copy framed somewhere in storage.
Thanks for the memories.
Found one similar. But the picture I have the...
Ah yes. Looks familiar…..
Changed rear brakes on the son’s dodge today. Caliper pin seized and took out the back side pad right to the metal and then took half the rotor off!! He said he didn’t hear anything. Right……
Trying to get the ceiling area ready for some garage candy!
Took the motor out of this little guy that I built almost 20 years ago. I’m going to hang it from the ceiling on display. Maybe when I have grandkids it can come back down. Worth too much to me to sell it.
Looks good. I know progress is slow doing it yourself, but the satisfaction you get when a particular step is done and your closer to the finish line feels great. I do all my own work as well and it’s been a couple years now that I’m still working on my garage. But you’ll get there.
I like the...
Not too much today. Just put one board up. 119 boards left to go!!
It’s a little more brown than I wanted. But I’ll also experiment on other boards as I go. Not trying to make them match.
Another test section.
This is my vinegar, tea bags and steel wool mix. I think I like it better. The first test area is too blue. Looks fake. Like I tried too hard! 😂
If I can get to a middle ground, I’ll go with that.
More testing required…..
First test stain. This is the varathane weathered grey stuff. I have a mixture or steel wool, vinegar and tea bags marinating to try tomorrow. I don’t mind this finish.
I actually have done that before. That was dumber than this. At least I can control the speed. I used a 6” blade though. To say it was sketchy is an understatement
You ever have the stupidest, most obnoxiously absurd idea ever?!
May I present…..
But wait….there’s more…..
This idea didn’t work to get the saw marks in it. It’s a random orbital polisher so all it did was stall out.
I give you hairbrained idea number 2!!!
OSHA showed up and took off as...
