    Good Cheap Drill Index Box

I recently purchased a complete set of new drill bits, all three sizes, from a machinist going out of business for cheap. About 120 total, nice bits. Way too many for my standard 'drill holes in a block of wood' trick. I also am thinking paying $50 for huot is a lot of money for a box I will...

Matco Tools is repoing tools and contents because Im $130.00 behind??

If you sign a security agreement on something, and the creditor follows all the steps, he can take it away. Sometimes it takes more legal steps than usual, but it can be done. For a lot of business loans the debtor signs an 'all assets' agreement, almost always on large loans or lines of credit.

Matco Tools is repoing tools and contents because Im $130.00 behind??

I am a business attorney in Michigan. With the exception of the fact you typed "Michigan" correctly--everything about your post that could be wrong is wrong.

I just had a customer call to complain about me...

I am not going to pay you back, either. Can I have $5,000 credit?

    Need some woodworking help.

I agree, but start at 80 and stop at 120, use your stain, retacky cloth, and use arm-r-seal topcoat with a very light 1000 grit sponge and tacky between coats for 5-7 coats.

2 idiots using my tools this week [rant]

I never loan out tools. A few years ago my wife, behind my back, lent our power paint sprayer to her co-worker. Her hubby got done painting but cleaning must have been such a pain he didn't want to. A few months later I open the case and the thing is covered in paint. Everything inside was...

any army guys out there that worked in a motor pool ever use this set?

It could be DRMO purchases. Base civvie employees are usually pretty good about giving their friends heads up on which pallets have the good stuff. Those same employees will often 'hide' pallets of the same good stuff so that the professional buyers don't see them. About 20 years ago the Marine...

    Salesmen using junk tools.

If you are taking tools into a customers place, or out to the public, your tools will get stolen. Usually one or two at a time.

You won't BELIEVE the PINK snap on unit I got TODAY!

My wife has a pink rifle. After a lot of shooting it gets grungy, but it cleans right up and looks good.

    Home repair wrenches

I bought a large plastic tool box for home repair stuff. Claw hammer, tack hammer, one of the craftsman softsided socket and wrench sets, nails, glue, knife, adjustable wrench, c-man light up nut runner, pipe wrench....all that stuff. I just realized that I am heading out the garage about once...

    Maglight flashlight conversion to LED?

Years ago I was an MP in the army, and we could carry maglights but had to buy them ourselves. I have four d-cells, three 3s and one 4, that are around the house. I am tired of the short battery life the few times a year I need them for home repair or when the lights go out, and worrying about...

Best tool you've ever found in the street

There I was driving down the road with my nephew when I spot what looks like a socket wrench laying in the lane. I pull over and send him to grab it. Even with all the snow and road salt that was down it hadn't started to rust yet. I have a new to me 6-inch 3/8 extenstion bar and a 9/16...

    My tool street find

I stopped at the micro brewery to celebrate the find. He is underage so after my beer we split donut fried oreos with ice cream.

    My tool street find

I missed that thread. I will search for it. Google didn't tell what what an unmarked Japan '263' socket was.

A Lifetime Warranty, Is Not A License To Destroy

Growing up, my father did most of his own car repairs. Several times when something was stuck he would put a craftsman socket on a craftsman breaker bar and put a pipe on it. If it unscrewed, good. If the socket open like a flower, grab another. If the bar broke, grab another. If nothing, get a...

    Socket holders

Socket holders. My father liked the sheetmetal holders with the flip up rail on them. I like the magnet holders that I bought from sears when they were on super sale. What works best for you?

Who here won this box for $6k

I am not your lawyer, this is not legal advice..blah blah If you think in your mind that the guy may be a liar, but the deal is really good, enough to take the risk... Get a UCC-3. Do not accept a UCC-3 from his hand. Only accept one from Snap-On filed by them, or emailed or faxed to you from...

Who here won this box for $6k

Sort of, yes. For the consumer there is a doctrine that limits the creditor's ability to keep doing stuff like that in most states. For a business man, though, not so much. If Snap-On told you in writing it was okay to buy and they don't have a lien, you are mostly in the clear. In most states...
