    Need car washing brush recommendation

I own this one from Griot's Garage. I've only had it a month or so. Use it to wash a 3/4 ton truck, and my toybox travel trailer (which is plenty tall). Pretty sturdy construction that so far I like. The microfiber mop works well. Overall satisfied and glad I paid the extra $10 or so over...

    Epstein Day 2020

was just ahead of firworks with 6982. Picked up a 100' extension cord, couple of the Kanetsune knives, some adjustable wrenches (Crescent and Allen), SK feeler gauges, 15" flex 1/2 drive SK LP90, mystery bag, couple of Wilde gasket scrapers (a repeat purchase), some stainless cleaning brushes...

    SK LP90 flex head plans

Jori posted a great price on the new 24" flex head 1/2 drive so I sprung for one which just arrived this week. I'm happy to report that the flex action is smooth and even, which was my biggest worry. The selector switch hangs in one direction, so I'll have to diddle with that. But it's a...

    3/8 torque wrench recommendations

Here is the one I bought. CDI makes a number of scales/ranges. If I were buying today I'd likely use toolsdelivered.com CDI is a "Snap On" company, makes them for Snap On. Only difference is the CDI units use an imported ratchet head. They also make the style you have in the OP.

Car Battery Charger, Maintainer & Jump Starter ?

I went through this recently. Bought a CTEXK 7 amp smart charger which I was impressed enough with to eventually buy the 25 amp model when the camels told me the price was right. And I bought a jump pack.

What Size Big Adjustable Wrenches for Toolbox?

HJE has a 15" Wright adjustable for like $34, satin nickel finish. I have a couple they are very nice. Like noted above last time I used one it was to bend some sheet metal in a vise. I have used once or twice for stuff like a hitch ball. 15" has been plenty for this DIY guy.

    Makita 2.6 gal compressor MAC700 $170 @ CPO

I bought one of these from CPO about a year ago when they had this sale (same price I think). It has been a real workhorse for me too and I really appreciate the quality construction and quiet operation.

    New SK Teardrop Ratchets

So I thought I'd report back on my experience buying a 1/4" drive 8" non flex LP90 (#80181). Bought it from Epsteins - asked them to check for funky chrome or a hitchy selector before shipping which they did. Great ratchet. Selector moves with ease, no weirdness in the finish, very nice...

    Proto secret sales at Zoro

I have been buying both Proto and US Williams from Zoro for some time. Combining these prices with a 25% off coupon is great. When it comes to sockets, Proto really makes a beautiful product, AND the size markings are large enough for me to read without reading glasses. Nothing wrong with US...

    Epstein's Newish Website

I'm unable to view my orders. I sign in, go to "My Account", click on "My Orders" and all I get is a blank page with a few of my most recently ordered items listed on the lower left corner of the page.

    SK Tools LP90 Flex-Head Ratchets

I was excited. But based on FedWrench's experience (and a few others in that thread), I dropped about 3 C-notes on the new Proto 90T flex offerings (using a Zoro coupon). Too bad because I like my 80200 standard 3/8 LP90 ratchet. Had to adjust it a bit and since it is a fine tool. SK just...

New Hazet ratcheting wrenches vs used Snap-On vs something else?

Yep, that's the tradeoff they made. All the pawl stuff is in that bulk. At least you have a hope of getting in a tight spot with it. Bottom line is the reversible ratcheting wrench is useful but not the end all. Have other tools for the occasional tight spot. Meantime I'm happy with my...

New Hazet ratcheting wrenches vs used Snap-On vs something else?

The surrounding band of metal on the ratcheting mechanism on the new style Snap-On is about as thin as you'll see.

    SAE sockets

Williams (USA) makes a set WSS-23RC. 3/"8 to 1-1/2". Amazon if you are patient and use the Camels, or Tools Delivered. If you want individual socket just download the Williams catalog PDF and browse to your heart's content. Note that they offer both US and Taiwanese sockets. US sourced...

New Hazet ratcheting wrenches vs used Snap-On vs something else?

I have a set of the Facom 467a's that I bought off of amazon.de when the price dipped. Ended up being like $130 delivered. Also picked up a set of the JSCVT series Proto which are the same mechanism in fractional sizes. The Proto have ASD on the open end. Should you care to see more I...

    ANOTHER screwdriver thread

I have a regular use for hollow ground parallel tips as I play amateur gun plumber, and all my good guns have precision slotted screws. You can buy a 100% serviceable set of hollow ground precision hex drive tips from Midway or Brownells for maybe $60. They work great and you can really match...

    ANOTHER screwdriver thread

OP, here's an Amazon link to the US made Williams sets (the old SnapOn hard handle models). The 8 piece hard handle set is currently $52.07, which is pretty darned good. They're solid screwdrivers, and the larger ones have a hex on the shank. Note also that the 19 pc set does have some Taiwan...
