New Compressor or just do some mods to current one?

I have figured it out to be 3Z395D. The intake is built into the pump and is a flat rectangular area with foam under the plate. So a Solberg won’t work. I’m beginning to think I may have to make a chamber in order to keep it quiet. I plan on starting on drawing up plans while I’m off on...

New Compressor or just do some mods to current one?

Yes I think my criteria is tough which is why I wanted more experienced people here might be able to help me out. I think I’ll have to build something around it for sound deadening. What would someone suggest for a 60 gallon then if I have to build an anechoic chamber?

Link didn’t work. I tried putting in the name as written but autocorrect kept changing the name to “*****”. I could change the autocorrect but I started laughing too much because it just wouldn’t stop…lol

New Compressor or just do some mods to current one?

I’ve not yet bought an impact wrench yet so I’m good there. The basic premise is using hearing protection. So…unfortunately I can’t lift my arms to put the hearing protection on/in. Hence the quietness requirement…

New Compressor or just do some mods to current one?

Currently I have a SpeedAire 3Z323D or 3Z355D or a 3Z395D (no model number or ID tag but i know it's one of these) and it's loud and small (although it currently serves my purpose). One of the things I'm considering strongly for my new shop is an upgraded compressor. My current one may do some...

    Snap On monthly flyer’s

Thanks everyone! There are a couple of guys I see with a truck here in town. One older guy is a …. Won’t buy from him…ever. The other is in his 30’s. His truck is larger IIRC. I’ll try and catch him when I’m out and about. Hopefully he’ll give me a deal.

    Snap On monthly flyer’s

Ron—it does. However, I’m not a professional mechanic; just a diyer M6- yes that’s what I think but can’t find them. I couldn’t figure out if there’s a place on the website or you only get them if you’re buying tools with a business account.

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

Easier to detail as well. I’m looking at a wildfire lift but again would like something old..American made. But my interior dimensions are 16x26 so that might be a challenge and a deal breaker. Those old Rotary’s are nice too. But again, not seeing them restored anywhere. There’s an old...

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

It’s a challenge given my condition so up and down off the ground is troublesome to say the least so a 4 post is the way to go for me.

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

I want the storage option. I’m trying to restore an old Mercedes and will park my ‘96 F150 under it when I’m not working on it.

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

I think they do. Seems like I remember talking to someone and they said they did. I could be mistaken though. We were talking about a lot of different types so I may have gotten my wires crossed.

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

I did too. My dad worked at one of those gas stations and remember those days fondly. When did current 4 posts come on the screen is one of my questions too.

Curious…does anyone restore automotive car lifts?

I’m still pondering what 4 post lift I’m going to get for my small 16x26 (interior dimensions) shop, and got to wondering if there are places that, or people, restore lifts? I remember seeing Mohawk’s (in ground) growing up and still see them from time to time but haven’t saw a 4 post lift...
