My first garage as a homeowner. 24x36 shack

Thats pretty awesome, never thought of having it sideways like that. I'd really like it to come off the front of the loft in the middle so I can bring it down with cars parked there. Just not sure how to keep the counter weights out of the way. Got some more work done. I wanted to redo the...

My first garage as a homeowner. 24x36 shack

Turns out starting college and buying a house at the same time makes for some slow progress. But progress was made. First things first, never did post any exterior shots. Its a bit rough. Exterior siding/sheathing is rather thin hardiboard material. I'm not sure if I'll have to re-sheath the...

My first garage as a homeowner. 24x36 shack

Started working on a model in Sketchup to get a feel for the space. Main structure built, and the two 'big' cars are in... looks like I'll have room. Even have OSB for the loft flooring. And 2 post lift, because in Sketchup land I actually have money.

Reinforce or just replace loft floor?

Reinforce or just replace loft floor?

Recently bought a house with a garage I actually have room to keep my stuff finally. Its has good space, 24x36, but it needs a bit of work. Before I do anything with it, the storage loft needs attention. The back of the garage is a workshop of sorts thats 24x14. Only problem is they made the...

My first garage as a homeowner. 24x36 shack

It's defiantly a good space to start with, even if I have to redo everything, at least the skeleton is there. The left side has two swing out doors. The right is just a roughed in open door way. I'll have to make some doors to fit there. Progress will be slow, I'll be starting school full time...

My first garage as a homeowner. 24x36 shack

First time for everything, 24x36 overhaul. Whew, now that the "must do ASAP" list is about done in the house, I can start looking towards the garage. Finding a house with a two car garage in town and around my budget was proving to be difficult, so when this place popped up I had to have it...
