Best power tool for general wood cutting?

Re: Best power tool for general lumber cutting? Coming from a family of wood workers, take this how you will. Start with a GOOD circular saw, new or used. Dont get the cheap **** ones that are $30-40 new because you will not save anything in the long run. My dad has a corded dewalt that he...

What more can I do with a 1/4" drive cordless impact than with a drill?

Dont know if I would base my info off those shows. Anymore they are hype to be honest. My dad has been a carpenter for over 30 years and every screw is put in with an impact. I recently got a new dewalt impact and it has 3 speed settings. 1st setting is for screwing into cabinets and such where...

    Workbench top suggestions

As firebrick said, if you not welding on I'd go with 2 sheets 3/4 ply glued and screwed together, then glue stainless on top. An exterior solid core door isn't a bad idea with a stainless cap. What ever you do I highly highly highly recommend leech F-26 glue. There is also the option of using...

    Lets talk levels

Need to keep in mind that there is a large difference in reading while the 6" cover a whole lot smaller area than the 6'. Do as others have stated by placing the level on a table and then flipping it over to compare. I've got 3 empires and they are all accurate. Sent from my SM-G930V using...
