Personal preference; but, I think option 2 looks much better. If there is a possibility to re-coupe some money, I'd go with the same style as the man door light, just bigger. Some say the actual fixture height size should be 1/4 to 1/3 the door height. I know that seems awfully big; but, I'd...

    Concrete Slab Ledge Question

Berto, that was the first I had seen of your build thread. Very insightful, and I guess, basically what I'm trying to accomplish. But, I think your's may be a bit more elegant. Fantastic job!

Garage Door Richard Wilcox vs Garaga VS Overhead thermacore

Yikes! That's a long wait. I recently paid for 2- 14x14 sectional doors, after several quotes. I was told by salesmen from 2 different companies that the addition of windows would lengthen time to delivery. I took their word for it and ordered "plain jane". :sneaky:

    Concrete Slab Ledge Question

I have ruled out gutters as I'm surrounded by pines and will have 16' sidewalls. I'm trying to plan for the inevitable aging variable, as even now I wouldn't get too excited about getting up there on the regular.

    Concrete Slab Ledge Question

I'm in the process of finally getting my metal building built (about 40x60). I've built a nice pad over several months. Still, I live on the Gulf Coast with lots of rain, mud, swamps, etc. I've noticed many metal shops around here with stains along the bottom secondary to splash following some...

Looks great. My site is very similar to yours. I'm in the clearing process now. I know you said you had sticker shock; but, curious how much dirt you brought in to bring it up to elevation? Thanks

Yes, I can see shades, dark vs light. But, you could also tell us it was green and woody 73 and I would believe you.:)

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Rescued this little Wilton. The support under the static jaw was broken off and the jaws were halfway screwed in with 2 different types of hardware; but, it should be plenty for the type of light-duty work I'll use it for.
