Above 1200 Sq/FT The Salvage Garage

I have one and trying to get a new one they only sell them to transportation companies. It is great for towing and the brakes make a big difference. Am thinking of rebuilding the driveline if I have no choice, but starting to have electronic issues with radio.

Re: AES Wave uTest Advanced Terminal Test KitAlternative I bought two sets when they were available 4 or 5 years ago. They are good but not great, none of them match common used race car connectors.

Found a dead baby bird on my boat. I had been visited regularly by a sparrow who acted like it was her boat. I am guessing the bird put an egg on top of the T-Bag which holds my life preservers. The bird got burial at sea honors vs being put in crab trap.

    What are the forum rules

Depends on the moderator. But there has been many users not banned but just gave up. There is a major movement here to do things as cheap as possible. It is the haves VS the have nots where most of the discussion winds up. Often it not a sharing of information but a debate of why are you wasting...

Back in the 70's when I first started towing race cars with a fifth wheel. I pulled into a truck inspection. At the time did not know a recreational vehicle did not have to stop. I lucked out the guy that inspected me was a race car guy and he spent about 30 minutes pointing out where I was not...

I was at the Ball in NYC for the US Ski Team. At the time Chevrolet was a team sponsor. I was having an issue with my Tahoe. I caught one of the executives in the next urinal. And unloaded about the dealer and the issue. The next working day I had a call from dealership and the issue was...

    Tig help!

I didn't start off wanting to be a full time welder it was just a tool in my kit. Too often if you start doing something and its starts to make you money you have a tendency to keep doing it. But the point that I try to make is flexibility is useful during your life span, and I go for the...

    Tig help!

When I started I bought a machine because I was working on race cars, not that I was a full time welder. And I started in my garage. The other point about the 42 year old machine in the 16 years that I had it it moved to 30 or 40 different shops. So it was not a garage queen, and when I sold it...

    Tig help!

Having a welder function for 43 years is current information. To clarify the welder traveling up and down the East coast for ten years with no issues. The counter point is all the HF **** that I bought that was assembled by nuts and bolts like the welding table, fell apart. Unlike the Dynasty...

    Tig help!

I bought my first Miller in 1978 it is still functioning in a race shop. Bought my Dynasty 10 years ago it has many miles on it traveling from race track to race track. Has been flawless often the envy of other welders and has paid for it's self several times over. But what do I know.....

    Welding on a vehicle

We work on different things. In 1985 or 86 I was crew chief for a 944 turbo Porsche one of 6 in country with out AC a show room stock racing version. We were running in ****** Endurance series. I built the roll cage to my specs, following rule book but adding a little more safety. The owner...

    Welding on a vehicle

With a TIG welder I would go through the process of removing it. If it was MIG or ARC I would be less concerned but still observant depending on where the welding was. Been welding stuff since the 70's many times under race track pressure and I am happy with the decisions I have made and the...
