    They Quit Making It

I came up with one, GWG jean jackets with the slash pockets and snap buttons. I had a second hand one about 25yrs ago and it was getting a little ragged looking so my girlfriend and I, at the time (now wife) went into a jean store in the mall and asked about getting a new GWG jacket. His...

    Electric angle die grinders ?

I gave up on a lot of my air tools, just too loud in the shop. I only one I still use in my 1/2 " impact when doing wheel nuts, and I'm going to replace it soon too. I use all electric or cordless. Something a buddy told me about a hand grinder he got is that it also runs in reverse, I can...

Does heating a spring to bend it lose its temper?

How do I keep the spring tension? Should I be quenching it after it's formed and still red hot? I should be paying more attention when I watch " forged in fire". BCD.

    Tapping fluid

I've been working with a lot of aluminum the last couple of days including tapping and tried 3 different tapping fluids and found the stuff in a green can called A9. This stuff is excellent and found it to be the best. I recommend it. And it has a nice smell too. BCD.

Do LED shop lights get dim over time?

Maybe it's just my eyesight getting worse but the shop lights don't seem as bright as they were when I first installed them. They are about 4 years old now. There are the round 4400 lumen ones with the round shade that thread into a regular lamp base. Anyone else notice this too...
