    Truck canopy lift

    Here's the HF winch installation I used to lift the cover off my "pond". Bolted the winch to a couple of 2X4's and then I used 3/8" threaded rod to hold the winch in place with two more 2x4's in the attic.

    Don't know how much snow you get in Clearwater FL, but when it's freezing outside, it's a lot easier to push snow melt into a drain with the heat on and the garage door closed.

    I've done two garages with drains running across the front. Makes it easy to wash cars in the garage as well as push the snow melt out. Also have hot water. My garage was designed strictly for car parking, not storage. So no worries about splashing water on something that shouldn't be there.
