I paid about 140 for my original stinger streamlight plus 35 for an led upgrade and I'd do it again on a second. I use it all day on almost every car I work on. Well worth the investment.

Good stuff. Speed will come with time but it's more important to be thorough and reduce comebacks

In my area a B level tech will do brakes, tires, suspension and steering, light diagnostics and bolt on repairs. When you start getting into involved diag, t belts, head gaskets, rebuilds, overhauls and stuff like that you're considered an A Tech. I was bumped to A level work after about 3 years...

Pretty good stuff here. I haven't been around since I hung up my tools about 6 months ago and became a service manager, then i realized how much i missed spinning wrenches. So now I'm back in the shop as foreman and couldn't be happier. My box is already in this thread way back, but ill take...

How do you organize your sockets?

had those for a while, then i was running out of room so i swapped to the snappy lay down magnet holders. Im pretty sure craftsman makes the same ones now though.

How do you organize your sockets?

I like they lay down holders myself, never have to worry if the sockets clear the drawers

    Krl box problems?

they should just pop up and out. I used a plastic trim tool and a little bit of leverage to get ours out. I believe there are two tabs pointing down( so you have to pop them up) and one in the back that faces the rear of the box. ill take a video next time i take one out.

    Krl box problems?

The SO rep said they were maintenance free slides and never need to be cleaned or lubed, but I would rather clean and lube them myself once a year than have stiff drawers.

    Krl box problems?

Little update. We replaced a couple slides that werent pulling all the way out on the long top drawer and it seems to be better. We also went ahead and took one of the stiffest drawers out, cleaned and lubed all the bearings with some marvel oil and worked it in. Seems like this is the major...

    Krl box problems?

The top drawer of his box has all his air tools, chrome and impact 1/2 sockets and breaker bars. Id estimate about 100 lbs in tools. My box has maybe 75 lbs in the top and its much smoother.

    Krl box problems?

the box has all the tools in it already so weight isnt the problem. Even if I had 1 wrench in each drawer, I would expect arguably the best brand toolbox you can buy to open and close smoothly. My HF service car slides 10X better than this this. SO also gave him 2 warrantied slides so we...

    Krl box problems?

So my buddy and I both picked up a couple SO KRL boxes. Mine is a 1022 and i forget his model number bt it has 1 more bank and is about 3 inches shorter. Anyway, has anyone had any problems with these boxes lately. Mine seems to be fine for the most part, but I do have a couple drawers that have...

    HF cart

I paid 180 for mine and it was well worth it. Used it to hold up a full gas tank on a durango and it held up with no issues.
