What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally got my rear suspension on my model A project to a point where I can sit it back on the ground. Ladder bars and adjustable quarter elliptic springs are in place now onto the rear panhard bar and shocks/mounts.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Time Machine: Rebuilding a PNW 1.5 car garage from 1946

Cool! Have you seen the new versions of the bench top band saws via Porta band? A lot of them are now coming with like a drawer to catch the chips. I’d be curious what solution you could come up with in a similar light for grinding dust. I’ve been thinking maybe an aluminum bench top and then...

I think it’s less of a having time to make the garage which you make projects in be fancy and it’s more the garage is the project. Still, it’s hard to find time to do much of anything some times. While completely ridiculous and nothing you have ever seen in a real shop from the era it’s these...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Time Machine: Rebuilding a PNW 1.5 car garage from 1946

Jeez that’s a lot of welding to make that I beam lol. Looks good though. When you make your metal back splash to protect from welding make sure to curve the corners in deco form, engine turn the entire thing and lay a nice border with brushed enamel to keep up the vibe ;) Kidding but in a do...

Honestly it’s not that far off from deco/ advanced design. Some subtle tweaks and I bet it’s vanished. Good job moving forward, I think sometimes it’s easy to get into analysis paralysis. With some big projects I’m battling what’s next I just pick the one I want to do and come to some sort of...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spent a lot of time getting the ladder bars and cross member set up in my model A project. Swapping from a banjo rear, torque tube and traverse spring to a later ford axle, ladder bars and quarter elliptic springs. Been collecting parts and chewing on ideas for a long time. Finally getting some...
