I'd never spend $89 on one clamp. The harbor freight ones actually work really good. You must have way more money than me. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk

Generator to back feed house from garage

To make it work you'd need a full 50 amp outlet to feed into. Well, unless the generator only outputs 30 amps. As stated you are better off with a transfer switch though. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk

Anyone collect vintage Taps and dies?

Yes, it comes in handy. I made some custom thread inserts for a carburetor that needed to seal, so i made the outside diameter slightly larger than spec. Well, that and to accommodate the inside thread better as the adapter was very thin. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk

Anyone collect vintage Taps and dies?

Awesome stuff. A couple dies in that set had a little rust on em that I polished off. I oiled em up, and put an anti rust sheet in the box. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk

School me: What did mechanics use to store tools in the 1930s?

The nc and nf designations were not official until 1947. I read something about ASME specs though in a 60's GtD training manual. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
