    They had 5/16 hex drive in 20s, I think derived from stevens tools. These appeared around the time of the stevens merger in 26.

    The new britain is 1/4". There maybe some other brands but those are the ones I have seen. The snapon 1/4" version is pretty scarce. I can only guess the plomb was for a military kit, never meant for sale to the public.
