Yeah I know a guy that is the "go to guy" in the area. He's done the concrete on several of my parents houses. I tried to get him to do the slab for this shop but he was covered up. I'll wait for him if I ever do build. Probably won't though. We want to buy 5-10 acrea in the future to build...

Thanks. And yeah, probably should have just paid the cars off to begin with. We're on track to have our house paid off in 8 yrs also! If we keep to that schedule, the house will be paid off by the time I turn 36. Then I may build a shop that dwarfs the house lol.

Forgot about this thread sorry guys. I did finally get my money back. Builder tore up and removed the concrete after it sat in my yard in a huge pile of rubble for about a week. They did spend some time "fixing" the yard but it's still a mess with big ruts and a ton of gravel left over...

Let me rephrase. I may sub the concrete out myself and then build it myself lol I have never messed with concrete and wouldn't even attempt to try this.

When everything is said and done we are signing something stating that we release each other from the previous contract. I assume that prevent either of them from trying to do that?

I told the builder (gc) not to try to bring a concrete trunk out of it was at all wet. I've never spoken to the concrete sub, or anyone else for that matter. I've only dealt with one person, the gc. I ended up not calling the concrete company. I was just curious what their story was as far as...

There was rebar in the footers. A couple inches of gravel, spot barrier, then wire mesh idk if mesh is the right word. They were sheets with 4"x4" squares. I see you're in north Alabama too, where do you live?

Looking back at the pictures I think that thin area is just where material got broke off. I really don't know though. I didn't examine it when I was taking the pictures. at this point I just want to be done with this guy.

I assume so. He says he is fixing the yard back how it was so it will have to go to do that. If he does end up leaving it there for whatever reason (I'm sure he won't) I'll find out where he lives and dump it in his driveway.
