I would go over here for DeWalt saw info : http://forums.delphiforums.com/woodbutcher I recently re-wired my table saw for 220, It seems to feel like it has a bit more power, but that could be subjective. Outlet boxes in Plaster walls

It would depend. Are you dealing with original boxes and mounts that might have deteriorated behind the wall? Or are these later added boxes that use expansion anchors, or some other way to anchor in the wall and not to a stud?

Wax ring or rubber for toilet?

Yup still good, also caulking around the toilet, not a big fan, too many issues if (when ) it has to be removed again, also the water/mold issues under it. I get why someone would when they are dealing with uneven floors, but I probably would only caulk the front half so I could get a visual of...

Wax ring or rubber for toilet?

Several years ago I ended up "accidentally" remodeling our bathroom, the damn thing is tiny, went to repair a P trap, found it was duck taped and painted over, leaking in the wall, behind that plastic wall cover **** that looks like tile...once I opened the section under the vanity I just knew I...

    Addressing outlets.... help.

If you're taking votes, +1 for flush, not only DC wall warts, but some plugs are right angle, and some with built gfi. and as Kaizen said we are used to it, I could see myself banging my knuckles against the wall a lot putting plugs in and out...I aint the most graceful thing

To clarify The A/c is not in a flood area, my pool filter is I was using the example of my pool filter deck to ask why that's not done with A/C units...I guess it is, just not around here. A/C pad disintegrated

Thanks for the input... Spending money other than materials won't be done, If we get 3 more years out of this thing I'll be happy it's just that that area of the yard needs work. This thing has been tilting for a LONG time. I always over think, and sometimes over build, I'm sure no one here...

    A/C pad disintegrated

OK so the foam pad under my unit is going (gone) bye-bye. How realistic is to think I could S-L-O-W-E-L-Y lift it up, I mean over the period of a couple weeks with a sling from above. Pull out whats left of the old pad and slide a new pad under it, With out evacuating, cutting and...

    Repairing cement statue

I'm not an expert in these things, but check abatron they make some wicked cool products for that type of thing, used for building restorations. How to do it, I have no clue was on a project a while back and a guy restored a bunch of busted out cement on a house. Looked real good when he was done.
