    Best Power Tool Brands

Looking at what I’m seeing for sale as far as quality corded angle grinders I will probably in future be buying either Metabo or Fein. Fein appears to have better pricing than Metabo from the local supplier. Still unsure on die grinders. I really want to get some really good top notch die...

    Best Power Tool Brands

I’ll give two examples. I work in the tool and die industry. I have done jobs where I have had to use a battery drill constantly for over 8 hours. In that case I am constantly swapping batteries. My personal use case for my business is power tools for weld preparation, which could be a casting...

Quest for 3 phase power!!! New Zealand edition.

Ok so update. I used to have a 351. I now have a 350lx. My 3 phase has all been installed and my Syncrowave is hard wired as that was the economical way to go. I wound up going with batten style LED lighting just because I wanted to prioritise power for the machines. LEDs do just fine without...

Recent machinery additions to the workshop.

Single phase is 230-240v 50hz. 3 phase is 400-415v 50hz. I had 3 phase installed on my property at my own expense. I have seen phase converters advertised in the odd magazine but I don’t know anyone using one down here. Anyone who genuinely has a use for 3 phase either has it or gets it...

Recent machinery additions to the workshop.

Crazy thing was it was cheaper for me to but my millar water cooler brand new than it was to buy a second hand one.
